What is your definition of "home grown"? Would it be a star player coming in from the Ramey Home? Is it a player who has gone to a private shool since K4 and transfers into your school his freshman year? Every school in this region has had transfers. Who on Rose Hill's current team do you consider a transfer?

By no means was I taking up for Boyd County having kids from Ramey Home either, but they are in our school district and we welcome those kids with open arms.

 

You really dont want to get into a comparison of who has had the most transfers, yes all schools have them at sometime or another, but not rebuild every year...Plus, I have many friends there, many that their kid play all thru elementary school then took a backseat to a Transfer...

 

Once again, no bash to anyone at RH, there are great people and kids there, but you guys keep saying you are so pure and no wrong, but who you keep trying to convince all us Public schools or yourself?

 

Tell me your top 10 players and I can probably tell you where they went to Elem School at...And I know at least 5 that did not attend there.

BTW, keep in mind I seen your Fall baseball team as well....At least 7 of the kids had only been there one year or less. Maybe more. I know that for a fact.

 

But once again...You picked up some great parents and some great kids....To each his own.

Everyone keeps saying the District is at Ashland. It is my understanding it is Fairview's turn to host. Now they cannot have it there I don't think because of size, but it is their choice to have it where they want. I would not assume that it will be at Ashland. They could choose to have it at Boyd.

I thought it was Ashland's turn, but I may be mistaken. Even on the Rose Hill high school schedule it says that the 64th district tournament @ Ashland on March 3-8.

I am surprised. I was under the impression that your boys have played together in the elementary grades, at Verity in the 7th and 8th grades, and as 9th graders at the high school. In fact, I saw those teams play a couple of games last year. Could it be that I am mistaken and didn't really see what I thought I saw?

 

Anyway, I did see on multiple occasions, a group of 7th graders from another school beat both Verity's 7th and 8th grade teams back to back on the same evening. Maybe the Verity uniforms were worn by imposters and, if so, I better understand your post.

 

 

 

In fact our 7th graders have never completed with our 8th graders as a combined middle school team. I have no idea what you may have seen since I do not have the same blue colored glasses as you do. Rose Hill did in fact beat Verity's 7th grade team and their 8th grade teams. They did not compete against a combined 7th and 8th grade squad. My congrads to Kyle Bush, Ryan Wessel, Michael T and the rest of the Rose Hill squad for there accomplishments and I can only say I look forward to competing against them in the next several years.
