Maybe that will help him focus on football and forget all his past troubles. By the way, was it just me, or did Williams look out of place on the field at Louisville? He didn't look like he had a clue what he was doing, at least not considering he was the biggest recruit in the country a couple years ago?

September 28, 200718 yr It is hard for me to imagine Willie Williams playing college football again. I would think a school with instant eligibility (in the fall, 2008) is the only choice. FAMU?

September 28, 200718 yr I, for one, firmly believed that Louisville would be a great place for him, and defended him mightily. I'd do it again. I don't believe in dismissing a kid for life for mistakes he's made in his past. He exhibited positive steps in the recent past, and I felt we could help him further those steps into his future. I was wrong in Willie's case, but I wouldn't change one word of my defense.

I still applaud U of L for giving the young man a shot. He has problems, and U of L was willing to work with him in regards to those. Don't act holier than thou, when we are talking about young men...

September 28, 200718 yr I just heard on the news that prior to Williams coming to UL he had been arrested 20 times! :eek: :eek: :scared: :scared: :eek: :eek: YIKES!! I knew he had a dark past, but I didn't realize it was TWENTY arrests! Why did UL let him transfer there with such a tainted past? 12 times....not that it matters really. This is truly sad.

Don't act holier than thou, when we are talking about young men... How about some common sense. He was not arrested 1 or 2 times. Everyone deserves a second chance but he had been arrested 10 times. I mean a huge red flag should have gone up.UL does not need to get a bad reputation and IMO should have passed on him in the first place. I think they may have seen a chance for a big time LB, a quick fix to help win this year and did not do enough homework before signing him. I am not blowing my own horn just pointing out a bad decision that should have been avoided.
