September 27, 200719 yr Howie Lindsey of Cardinalsports.com is reporting that Williams has been dismissed from the Cardinal football team...he also said no other UofL players were involved or are in trouble with the law. Tom Jurich released the following statement... University of Louisville linebacker Willie A. Williams has been dismissed from the Cardinal football team after violating the terms and conditions of his agreement with Athletic Director Tom Jurich prior to his admittance to the University. "I'm very disappointed in Willie," said Jurich. "I was confident that he had turned the corner in his life and was ready to be a valuable contributor to society and our football program. We wish Willie the best and hope that he can learn from his mistakes and move forward in his life." Williams played in three games for the Cardinals after transferring from West Los Angeles Community College.

September 27, 200719 yr Author Found this part interesting... About 9:40 p.m. yesterday, a police cruiser pulled behind Williams on West Broadway and attempted to pull him over, according to a police report. Williams failed to pull over for several blocks until he stopped at Second and Broadway, where an officer found him chewing on marijuana, according to the report.
September 27, 200719 yr According to ESPN he was pulled over and had marijuana on him... This is exactly what happened.....Tom Jurich dismissed him after getting all of the information....Bravo Tom..... on a side note, this may be something that could help the defense start to come together.

How would it help the D? Its my understanding that Willie wasn't playing much.
September 27, 200719 yr Well, I had hoped he could keep his stuff together, but you can't save them all...Farewell Willie...

I think you'll be right in the end. I'm not saying Williams did it, but kids are always harping about playing time, some more than others. Maybe he was doing the same thing. Getting rid of a few bad apples will usually make everyone better in the process. Hopefully the same will happen with Louisville.

Michael Vick wasn't in the back seat, was he?
September 27, 200719 yr Boy you are grasping:lol: Not really.....my expectations are to see improvement, and with the way the first four games went...that's not a stretch by any sense.
