The Scribe
If I'm the teams in their division, I'm really worried about the Steelers defense right now.
cshs81
How was the catch by Vernon Davis ruled a non-catch? What didn't happen?
Sportz Addict
How was the catch by Vernon Davis ruled a non-catch? What didn't happen? When the ball shot up like a bottle rocket, they thought the ground caused it. I am glad the Steelers are peaking early.
cshs81
When the ball shot up like a bottle rocket, they thought the ground caused it. . Had to be something else because it was 100% obvious that ball never touched the ground.

Didn't see how that could have been incomplete. Plus hes on my fantasy team and it lost me those yards.

Plus hes on my fantasy team and it lost me those yards. I'm asking because there must be something to the rule that was interpreted but not announced. He had possession to the ground. Both feet hit the ground. Is it the "make a football move" portion of the rule?
spindoc
I'm not so sure that they didn't have some other view, and I'm not sure that the ball didn't hit the ground, otherwise if it wasn't a catch simply due to the "football move" rule, it should have been an interception. So, I assume they had a view of the ball on the ground. I'll be in Phoenix next weekend 5 rows from the field, hopefully to see the Steelers improve to 4-0.:thumb:

From my perspective, unless theres something in the rules that I'm unaware of... that looked like a catch and then he was down to me.:thumb:

Sportz Addict
Different color stripes! I thought it was an INT. But I can understand if the ref didn't look closely enough why he thought the ground caused it.

We will take the early so called peak because that makes us 3-0. Gonna be a long year for the Bengals.
