September 24, 200718 yr Brohm has done everything possible to win their last two games, I just think UL has gone away from the running game too soon.....which makes their defense play too much. Actually the problem lies with Brock's and Sergio's absence, IMO...I would look for a mor balanced attack as both are scheduled to return this week....it really is a trickle down as they will control actual clock more as well, and that will give the defense some rest.....Brock Bolen being out these two weeks has left a huge hole for Louisville.
September 24, 200718 yr Brian did check out a few times....and in the second half hurry up he called a lot of the plays himself....I expect to see a lot more of that in the near future. The thing about Kragthorpe is he sends his plays in with a player, opposed to what Petrino did which was signal it in. By the time Brohm gets the play and relays it, their really isn't that much time left to check. I've always thought he played better in a fast-tempo offense and that's not what were seeing right now.
September 24, 200718 yr If Louisville had just an average defensive unit they would be still undefeated right now. Brian and the rest of the O are putting up plenty of numbers to win games and that is a shame. There is no way I can look at Louisville and say Brohm is at any fault. It gets old with people talking about the little things he did wrong and not looking at everything else.

I agree.....and I don't like how they seem to not have their personnel groups at the ready. Kragthorpe said all summer he wanted them to the line with about :15 left on the play clock, that is NOT happening.

Good fullbacks are vastly underappreciated, hopefully Bolen will be back this week for the Cards.

September 25, 200718 yr ^ Michigan, Appy State Maybe I misunderstood, but for some reason this game (Michigan / App. State) did not have a spread. If it were to have a spread, it would have been larger, I am guessing. From what I heard yesterday on College Football Live, according to point spreads, UL/Syracuse was the biggest upset in college football history.
