sounds to me like you are fishing for a reason to complain about Williamsburg.

The story came from the newspaper over there. The questions were probably asked from a Williamsburg perspective. I don't think there was any insult intended.

Williamsburg's youth and depth were exposed tonight by a good C'land team. Injuries really hurt the "burg tonight. Gilliam for C'land is very very good. The Burg will rebound and get better, but folks need to remember how young this team is and be supportive. I will say this, you better get the Jackets this year because they will be much more mature next year with losing only 2 seniors.

Old School DR, it never changes. Don't worry about what was said. Credit is hard to come by over in that direction. It's always, "Well, we had a bad night" or some such stuff.

Y'all played well, 'Skins!.:thumb:

as was I.

Coach Herron just calls it as it is...

Worst effort by a Wburg team I have seen in the last 10 years...But as I stated earlier, Cumberland was the best team on the field...

By the time the Hazard/Cland/etc district is settled, it may take Mongolian Calculus to figure out the tie-breaker. But, Hazard does look to be a notch ahead of everyone.

I didnt view it as an insult, I guess I am just a little bit Old School and believe that in defeat coaches can show a little class by giving the opposing team a little credit for their efforts.

It could be possible he did and the paper just chose not to include those quotes. I don't know but as me and another individual discussed on here b4 newspapers don't always include everything a coach says and occasionally what they do include isn't always told in the correct context.

Well Stated and to the point.

Seriously though is it the opposing coach's responsiblity to praise the other team? No, IMHO, it is his responsiblity to prepare and analyze his team.

You obviously do not get THE OBVIOUS POINT and that is that most quality coaches with class, when interviewed about a game after a defeat usually make it a point to give some credit to the opposing team. If you do not understand this then that is very unfortunate. Have a good day sir.

And a good day to you!!!! Isn't it a great day to be alive and living in Kentucky and the USA.

BUT I get your point, but at the time of the interview which I assume was right after the game, what are you going to be more concerned with the other team and what they did right or your team and what they did wrong. Who says the world has to be so PC. The point you are missing is that maybe, he did and it was not put in the story, or maybe the questions was not even ask.

If it is so important to brag on the other team.....uhh.....welll.........isn't that one of the virtues of this place to talk about your team. LOL Hey go to it brother, I would brag too.

I was impressed with both teams D in the first half. The Burg's offense really was disappointing. After the 1st half it looked like it would turn out to be a struggle to score for both teams. Injuries in the 2nd half really hurt the Jackets.

Has anybody heard anything on the status of these kids? I know I seen two leave during the game.
