September 17, 200719 yr Zero? UL has ZERO chance at winning the Big East? Not a slim chance, they literally shouldn't even travel to West Virginia? Have you been watching the last 3 years? WVU is famous for losing a game they shouldn't -- that wouldn't be new. Listen Truth, I can't stand UL. I don't care much for them and if their football and basketball teams lose their next 50 games I'd be okay (Baseball, Women's sports, etc, I root for them; like I would nearly any in-state school), but how can you say they have ZERO chance at winning the Big East? One loss and they are not even a blip on the screen? Wow. This is very true, this game means nothing as far as conference play. If (big if) they can still win the Big East they still make it to a BSC game. I know I'm pulling for them to do it.

Things may be off to a shaky start, but if I'm not mistaken, they're led by a QB who faced a shaky start in another situation in his football career, and he led that team to a spectacular end of season run. September 17, 200719 yr As bad as UL's defense has been I still think they will get it together and finish second in The Big East. I have a feeling that the WVU game will get ugly however. The Mountaineers could possibly run for miles and miles against The Cards. What kind of dog is that in your avatar 5 wide ?

September 17, 200719 yr U of L will have trouble with Rutgers WVU and South Florida. But I think they will be fine, as long as Brohm keeps the numbers up ( which he will ) and the D can pick it up I see them right in the hunt for the Big East with around 9-10, maybe 11 wins.

September 17, 200719 yr The Big East is nerve wracking this year and that doesn't bode well for UofL and the way their defense has been playing. There's still time for UofL to turn it around and finish 1 or 2, but I can definitely see them finishing 3rd or 4th just as easily.

September 18, 200719 yr The top half of the Big East is freaking loaded -- you have to have some sort of blinders on not to realize that. WVU, UL, Rutgers, and on the next tier, SoFlorida and UC, are really solid. While I expect WVU to win the Big East and head to a BCS game, UL is certainly going to be right there. They will beat Rutgers, and probably UC, will need to play well to beat So. Florida on the road, and will need to play exceptionally well to beat the 'Neers in Morgantown. All is not lost for UL in terms of a BCS game...not by a long-shot. Didn't one of the top teams in the Big East just get beat by one of the SEC's bottom dwellers? Can you imagine what would happen to one of these "loaded" teams if they played in the SEC week end and week out?
