I know some of you guys are excited about the win as you should be, but you need to realize, Woodson is not winning the Heisman...Call it sour grapes if you want, but it's just not happening....

I don't think he will win it either but I wouldn't trade him. The thing I love about him is that he doesn't turn the ball over! With the athletes KY has and him not turning the ball over they will be tough to beat for most teams (LSU+probably Florida excluded) unless those teams have bad nights.

The ONLY way, IMO, Woodson wins the Heisman is if UK goes undefeated...Do you see that happening?

And for the record, Woodson won't win the Heisman unless UK goes undefeated which I doubt will happen, but if they do and he continues and goes the whole season with no INT's, then why not?

With all the time Brohm had to throw, I think Brohm's old man could have put up those stats.

Woodson appears to be more mobile and has a better arm.

You're definitely seeing the world through blue glasses. Brohm is better on both counts.

Also his decision making is pretty darn good. You don't go 247 (I think) straight passes without a pick without being good at it.

I'll give you that point. Woodson doesn't beat himself. Brohm will occasionally try to do too much ... case in point, his first-quarter interception, which came from rolling out and throwing long off his back foot into double coverage.

 

Woodson generally doesn't try to do things he's not capable of doing.

 

On the other hand, UK's offense asks Woodson to make safe, low-risk throws.

WR if you think Brohm is more mobile than Woodson then I don't know what to say.

I believe Woodson is still in the Heisman hunt. And so is Brohm. He is putting up great #s, although Woodson is ahead of Brohm right now after the win. I think both still have a chance of making it to the ceremony.

Two reasons.

SEC will mean 2-4 losses for UK.

He plays at UK. Not enough respect.

 

He gets invited to NY and that is a huge thing.

He makes the top 10 in votes and it is an accomplishment.

I love Woodson, but his chances are slim. He could get invited to NY as a finalist, but that would be about the best he can hope for unless UK has a MUCH better year than anyone is predicting. I am talking shot at the SEC East title kind of season. And while I bleed blue, I don't see us beating UF.

The ESPN Draft Analyst they had on College Gameday must have on blue glasses then too, because he said the same exact thing.

 

BTW, I'm not a UK football fan. Sure I want them to do well, but not really a fan.
