Every team gets upset almost, I see Michigan having a very successfull season and shutting everybody up about the cinderella team that came to the big house and upset. Oregon beat Michigan 39-7. If ORGEGON can do that, what do you think Wisconsin, Penn State, and Ohio State will do to them? I see Michigan going 6-6 maybe 7-5. And I don't see them beating Ohio State at the end of the year. By that time Boeckman will be better, so will Wells and Robiskie, and the D will be even better. If Michigan can't stop App State's offense, I feel sorry for them when they have to play against PJ Hill and Wisconsin, and Wells and the Buckeyes.

After the way the vaunted elite teams of the Big 10 were thrashed by their competition in the Bowl games last year, there is a question hanging out there as to whether the entire conference is a good as advertised. The OSU - Washington game will answer part of that question. However, if the Maze and Blue can win the conference title, which I can't rule out, they'll be ranked. For the TV ratings for the Rose Bowl, if for no other reason.

OSU did play a close game with Akron, but 20-2 isn't to bad IMO, and look how the D did. Tressel doesn't blow teams out. Even if you or anyone expects him to win 56-3 or something, he won't. His teams typically play great D, Special teams are good and he plays field position. He doesn't gamble a lot.

October 3, 200718 yr I agree. It sets up too perfect for them. They've bounced back pretty well...and it seems painfully obvious that they can't defend the spread, but they can defend anything else. The Big Ten isn't exactly home to the nation's most dynamic offenses. I'll take it a step further and say that I expect Michigan to win the Big Ten. I think they beat Ohio State this year... ...so, there you go. Yeah, I said it. :scared::lol:

Eastern Michigan @ home Purdue @ home @ Illinois I would venture that if they win all 3 they will jump the 8 spots into the top 25. Never underestimate how much the media loves the Big Ten. However, I don't think they will win @ Illinois.

However, I don't think they will win @ Illinois. What would that have to do with anything? If Michigan wins their next three, they'll be 6-2 (4-0 in the conference), with a 6 game win streak. They would have a terrible upset loss to App State, and a blowout loss to a legit top 10 team...after that, an impressive wins vs. Penn State and Illinois at home and a road victory over a Purdue team that will either have one or two losses depending on the Ohio State game. Personally, that would easily qualify them for a top 25 ranking from my view. Plus, you'd have to factor in that they beat Penn State with an inexperienced freshman QB. Michigan is a good football team that got off to a horrible start. They paid the price for it, but if they play good and keep winning, you can't keep them out of the top 25 because they lost to App State.
October 4, 200718 yr Author I knew Michigan would rebound. but, I'm now starting to wonder how good this Michigan team is. They struggled against Penn State who later lost to a descent Illinois squad. Then they had a little trouble against Northwestern who got beat by Duke. They should put away Eastern pretty handiliy. We'll see...
