Will Michigan be ranked again this year?

Featured Replies

I knew Michigan would rebound. but, I'm now starting to wonder how good this Michigan team is. They struggled against Penn State who later lost to a descent Illinois squad. Then they had a little trouble against Northwestern who got beat by Duke. They should put away Eastern pretty handiliy. We'll see...

Typical of the "younger brother" mentality of many OSU fans. Look at me, look at me. Nowhere did you mention that OSU struggled with Akron..........wonder why? If I were you I'd be less worried about Michigan and more worried about Purdue this week.

As far as Michigan, the two teams that concern me the most in the remaining schedule are Purdue and Illinois. Not a shot at OSU, I just think that with both teams personnell this year, Michigan matches up pretty well. I don't think that OSU has the ability to spread you out like Purdue and Illinois do, and I'm definately not worried about Boeckman (sp?) running the ball when they do (which is what has really lead to the breakdowns in the secondary at UM). I hope both teams win out and look forward to the meeting on Nov. 17th.

They are #33 in the AP right now. Their next 3 games are...

Eastern Michigan @ home

Purdue @ home

@ Illinois

I would venture that if they win all 3 they will jump the 8 spots into the top 25. Never underestimate how much the media loves the Big Ten. However, I don't think they will win @ Illinois.

This is one of those self perpetuated rumors down here in SEC country. Explain to me how this is the case? Because all I ever hear and see is the Pac 10 and the SEC nowadays. Yes, the contingent from Columbus do love the Big 10. And why shouldn't they? Do the folks in Lexington not love the SEC?

Explain to me this:

UK (5-0) #8 in AP

Purdue (5-0) #23 in AP

How exactly is the Big 10 getting the love from the media again?

I'm not saying that Purdue is the better team, but if the media were in love with the Big 10 we'd see these roles reversed.

What are the chances that Michigan beats Ohio State? I don't follow the Big 10 very much at all.

I don't see it happening. Wisconsin has a better chance but they do not even get to play do they?
