What happened to BGP?

Featured Replies

I have been monitoring the site most of today and the only packet losses I'm getting are from a DNS server at Abovenet Communications in New York. I've got about 8 hops through their network to get to BGP, and there appears to be a clog there. However, this slow down has not prevented me from getting on and posting.

I told him to try it.

No problems for me and I use Roadrunner out of Columbus.

This is the 1st time I have been able to view the site since Friday. Had a buddy help me out, all I had to change was the preferred and alternate DNS servers in my network connections. I tell ya, going without BGP was very hard.

How do you do that?

Go into Control Panel, then Network Connections. From there right click the connection you use, choose properties. Once in this, high light(click) Internet Protocol(TCP/IP), then click properties. From there you can replace the DNS server numbers.

This is a DNS issue. The problem should be close to being corrected for the people affected. If you know anyone still having a problem give them the IP address cshs81 listed in this thread.
