Ankiel on HGH?

Featured Replies

HGH was banned in 2005. And if I'm not mistaken, HGH could be bought at any sports supplement store, such as GNC. So, you can't say that Ankiel was cheating. As long as he stopped using it when MLB banned it, then he done nothing wrong. Now, if he used steriods along with HGH, then that would be a problem.

I picked him up for the playoff stretch of my fantasy baseball league, hope he has enough to last the rest of the year.

Enough HGH?

I know that HGH is bad but I don't have a problem with players that had taken it before it was banned. Now if they take it now that it is banned they should be punished. Baseball is too blame for the use before but I think they should let it be about the past and worry about the present and future.

I still think there is a double standard when it comes to football and baseball.

ESPN News has on their "Breaking News" bar that MLB wants to meet with Ankiel. Why? He used it before it was banned. Soothing all the wounds I guess.

Not really, it wasn't banned when they were taking it so they should not be punished.

Did I hear Jeff Gordon was on it also...No maybe that was just a rumor....

You are mistaken...HGH (Human Growth Hormone) has NEVER been available OTC. You are thinking of GHB....BIG DIFFERENCE!

The other thing is this...there is still NO test for HGH...so who knows whose on it or not.

There's no COMMERCIAL test, but the blood test that the Olympics uses can detect it, from what I understand

If he used it before it was banned and not after... so be it. He wasnt breaking any rules. MLB's fault for not banning it sooner.

When do the players get blamed?

When the league ban's the substance before the players take it. I'm pretty sure I know a very large number of guys that would be banned from the league right now.
