My son picked up his Halo 3 today. Unfortunately his X-Box 360 broke (again) this weekend. He is beside himself with a new game and no game system. :madman:Thank goodness for extended warranties.

I was playing online earlier and I did this to one of my buddies and had to show it off :

 

I am at level 3 now and I just got my XBOX live to work last night. I played for 2 hours last night and already 2 today. I finished the campaign, then I got my live fixed, and the game on live is A LOT better than the story mode. Did anyone else watch the end of the ending movie, after the credits? It puts a big twist on things. If you have time, go into campaign, go down the the level "Halo" click on it and pick the 2nd part of the level, the part that you drive, and play it on legendary. don't work it is not any harder, and it gives about 3 seconds more onto the part after the credits, but that 3 seconds is WORTH THE WAIT of the credits!!!!!! I would just tell you, but that would ruin it.

I've already killed over 2,000 bad guys in matchmaking, made it to Captain status and am a 34 in double team.

Sounds like you've gotten higher than I expect to see.

 

I'm really struggling to adapt so far. It feels really different from Halo 2 to me, and I'm having nowhere near as much success. IMO the melee was boosted WAY too high and you're much better off half the time trying to stay in close quarters and just beat people down. I'm very disappointed with how far the BR was toned down. I'm up to a 9 skill level in team slayer through about 20 games played on it, but I've been having so much trouble that I don't know how much higher I'll get.

I'm a 13 in team slayer and almost a Gunnery Sergeant. I've gotten a lot better!

Plasma grenade stuck right on his butt. He walked right by me and didnt even see me so I let him have it. LOL:lol:

I know what ya mean man, I'm getting so ticked off about melee's, I'd probably have about 50 more kills, but I'm having serious timing issues when trying to melee people. GRRRR:madman:

So what level is everyone now? Im ashamed to admitt mine, cant win a game on slayer.

I get on about once a week and I just a 20 in TS. I need 3 more solid TS teammates before I even attempt to get in the 30's and 40's.

Question :

 

What do you guys think of people who brag about being so good at Halo 3 but all they play is Forge Slayer?? Wont play customs or matchmaking because they say the game is "too slow" this way. I played with some of these guys the other day and it made me mad something awful. As the game begins they all "forge" a sword for themselves and then switch back to the monitor floating ball. They float around, drop down and strike you with the sword then fly off. What do you think? HONESTLY!!

Me and a guy that lives down the hall from me have made some pretty awesome maps using the forge. But actually playing in forge doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me.

 

Also, myself and some other guys need another teammate, but the LAN settings here on campus make it difficult to get in a party with people. We are trying to get them to change those settings so we can connect to more people.
