NewCath 9 CovCath 0

Does CovCath still run that spread offense at all with the new coach, or did he change pretty much everything about the offense now?

Dave Brossart brought the offense he was part of at Georgetown College. I guess it would be called a modified wing T.

Oh I know it takes time to learn a new offense and get use to it. But I wonder if he might start giving thought to changing the offense a little bit, since the offense he has in right now is not even coming close to working...

I have no idea what the official wording is on the taunting rule so the official may have called it exactly as he should.

However, if it is considered to be taunting when a kid going in on a TD with no one in front of him raises his hand to celebrate before he scores, the rule needs to be changed. I'm all for the INTENT of the rule. Taunting leads to problems. You have to let kids be excited .

The NC kid in no way was taunting. It could have cost the the game.

What would he change to? He has an offense he wants to implement. Its now just a matter of blockers blocking, runners running, and passers passing.

I don't really see any offense that would suddenly change the fortunes of the Colonels inexperienced O.

?????????

I assume by the above that you were not there today.

No had to be somewhere else .:madman:

Do you think the offense he wants to run, best goes with the type of players that CovCath has? Or is it that he might be trying to force a system on a team, that does not best fit their abilities...

Too bad. Although you didn't miss much excitement.

Anyway - blown coverage by CCH - 2 NC receivers are wide open - #25 catches it and takes off for the end zone - at about the 5, he extends his hand upward giving the "we're #1" signal and gets flagged for taunting. 15 yards on the XP - NC misses.

As I said, the system doesn't appear to be the problem.

Going to the frosh game?

A life's lesson learned with no damage done . Except probably by Mr. Schneider . I'm 60 years old and I still call him Mr Schneider because he taught me senior English in 64/65 .

Out of hall passes.

Out of hall passes.

Pretty early during a long weekend to be cashed out...

Do we need a class in being frugal?

As I said, the system doesn't appear to be the problem.

Yeah you said its just a matter of blockers blocking, runners running, and passers passing. And well no duh, if that is the case then you could say that every single system should work for any type of team, because as long as all the players do just that then any system should work. However that is not the case at all though because some systems though just dont work well for players, and make it harder for them to do those things, and maybe this system does fit these players that good...

So all coaches change their offensive philosophy every season? I must have missed that .

So tell me what system you put in with a rookie line, receivers who are inconsistent, no team speed, no power running game and a rookie qb.
