...after UK beats them in two weeks. :D

10. We were looking ahead to the Syracuse game.

9. When UK found out Coach K was on the sideline, they thought they were playing Duke.

8. Michael Bush was hurt.

7. New coach, new system.

6. UK cheated. Instead of Mike Archer, they brought a real defense to the game.

5. The visiting locker room at Commonwealth is insufficient.

4. If the game would have been on Labor Day, we would have won.

3. The $EC (:thumb: GT) is just too tough.

And the number one excuse you will hear from Louisville Cardinal football fans after they lose to UK on September 15...

Here's one that didn't make the list...

Brohm hurt his arm on that second half TD pass against Murray State. It was still sore and obviously affected his performance.

Not really, I mean it would be if it was Petrino still coaching, and it was the first game of the year. But as it stands, there will be no Vanilla offense by the third game. UK threw away their best chance in years, but it is kinda nice to hear Cat fans crowing so much, it is going to be really funny to hear some of them once they start 2-0 for the first time for any player on the Cats team. By the time the Louisville game comes around the Wildcat fans are going to believe they are the favored team.

I hope they do. That's a big part of winning...truly believing you're the best team when you take the field. That's also a big hurdle UK has to overcome at some point...getting rid of the loser mentality. I really don't think moving the game back affects anything other than the television aspect...it certainly won't hurt UK's chances, IMO.

Ooops...I overlooked that word "fans"...

In any case, I'll stick by the post. If UK gains a lot of confidence from the 2-0 start, it can only help them going into the U of L game...and they do have to overcome that obstacle and get to the point where they know they can win the game and expect to do so. I know they say that, but I'm not sold that they always believe it 100%.

No doubt...when I started thinking of things to put on the list, as soon as that one came to mind, there was no doubt about what #1 was going to be. Classic!

I have to give stickymitts some credit as well...he helped me compile the list...he came up with #'s 4, 5, 7 and 10.

Great stuff 5wide...still laughing as I type this... :jump:

3. The $EC (:thumb: GT) is just too tough.

If you can't beat em, pay em.

Heck, even if you can beat em, pay em any way...
