Our Adoption Journey is Over

Featured Replies

Just wanted to update everyone. On July 15th, my wife and I traveled to Guatemala to pick up our new son. We actually got him on the 16th and our appointment at the US Embassy was July 17th, his first birthday.

We have been home over a month and he is adjusting very well. He is so much fun and I love being a dad. I can't wait to get home to see him and play with him. And he is so sharp. We have already taught him touchdown and high five, plus a bunch of other things. And he will imitate almost anything that we do (so we have to be careful).

Here is a picture of the handsome little guy.

That's awesome!! I'm glad everything worked out. Having a little one around completely changes everything, but IMO, it changes everything for the better. :thumb:

Congratulations!!!

You are very blessed!

This has been such a long time in coming! And I'm glad you let us share the adventure with you.

You just can't beat a happy ending! :thumb:

How wonderful is this!!!! I know that you have waited a long time for your son and I am so happy that you finally have him. I think that this little boy is very lucky to have you as his "Daddy".:thumb:

Congratulations! Already easy to see that you all will be great parents.

And another of his birthday party in Guatemala:
