Sounds like it was an exciting game!

How long ago was it that Montgomery was pretty much the doormat of (then) 4A; they have come a very long way in 2 or 3 years.

This game had some of the poorest officiating I have ever seen at a high school football game. I think the calls went something like 12 penalties against GRC to about 2 for MC. GRC was at the 5 yard line(or right around there) and had 2 penalties called that brought them back quite a few yards. Congrats to MC great win. Hope Williams is ok. I believe if he doesnt have to leave we win that game. Also like somebody above said, he was the only player who ran north/south(and did great at it to say the least). The others need to do more of that. Thomas also had an excellent game. It was just a tough loss.

Penalty yards were 148 to 146.

Just got in from the game. Heart breaker for my Cards.

Hats off to MC...they never gave up when it looked like the Cards were in control. Ryan Williams was taken to the hospital...breathing problems...he was on oxygen when he left. Prayers are with you Ryan. #21,

Also close to the end of the game a pregnant lady from GRC was ran over when a player was tackled and pushed out of bounds. There is a track that surrounds the field and she was on the track. She was take by ambulance to the hospital....I could not find out who she was. Prayers and angels for her also.

Believe my Cards will be fine....we lost alot to graduation last year, will take a few games to fine tune things.

Thanks to Birdsfan for all the updates.!!!

I talked to Ryan's Dad late last night as they were leaving the hospital and he Ryan was doing fine! He's a tough kid with a big heart and he's a nice addidtion for Clark's football team.

Thanks for the update. So glad he is going to be OK.. Yes he is a great addition to our team. Talked to his grandfather and brother at the game. He came from Henry Clay. He plays basketball too and just a junior. We will be hearing alot of him in the next two years.

Pittswann, where did you find out that information? Can you tell us How many penalties/yards for both team?

This is almost unbelievable. Wasn't the Indians just getting pounded just a year or 2 ago. With their school size, they should be good in every sport, but boy they were awful a couple of years ago. Congrats Indians!

M/C played tough. Their crowd was behind them great support. Coach Gooch has that team primed for this game! Hats off to them.

Cards will be back. They will adjust and make the neccesary changes for the next game.

Magical night for Montgomery

CURTIS LEADS UNDERDOG INDIANS TO 35-34 WIN OVER CLARK COUNTY

The Cards couldn't finish off Montgomery County, and lost to their next-door-neighbor rivals for the first time in a decade.

He played fantastic he was in! I look for him to be a regular sight in the Cards backfield. Can't wait to see him on the b-ball courts this fall also!

D. Mason had a great night also. He had some good passes, and some great runs to pick up first downs. O line did a great job of getting him time to pass. Still needs to be looking for the #2 & #3 recievers if the primary is covered. I look for him to have a very big year!

Most of the penalties against MC though was obvious. I know of atleast four or five offsides/false starts just off the top of my head. GRC's was either holding, clipping, etc. Seemed like every time they had a great play, there came the flag.

Offsides/False start was a huge one. But pass interference was constantly being called on Clark while M/C could hang all over the Clark recievers.

There was bad call for offsides on what woudl have been a TD runner by T. Conners that was called back. A 20 yard first down run by Z. Hardiman that was called back for clipping after the play was dead.

I am not taking anything away from the M/C win, but the officials were horrible.

The biggest one I felt was the one on Tatum Lewis....maybe someone can explain that one.

Also any news on the lady that was hurt last night??

What a great game to watch. I went as a spectator no ties to either team saw two great looking high school football teams compete & not get the game decided until under a minute to go. This why high school football to me is the best.

It was a great game... to be honest I felt that MC just wanted it more...hope this is a wake-up call for the Cards.
