But seriously, the uniforms are for the players, the Current players. They want to look good and Black is showing up everywhere, U of L has all black uniforms, Duke has black uni's, everyone is doing it and you gotta keep up.

We don't have the all black, but still get tons of comments about a black outline on the numbers. The jerseys don't have black numbers anymore and only the white ones have any black at all

Wow, if Central can play that way against the "4th Best team in 6A", what will they do against teams in their class. I was one of the few who thought Central would win. I think Central has a very good chance of beating a few other 6A teams on their schedule. Time will tell.......

Don't discount the other 3A teams just yet. Central may very well lose 5 games this season in the regular season, and I don't care how good you are, that will play on your psyche. There are a couple fundamentally sound teams that would give any team fits as well.

They may lose 4-5 and still win state 3A though, they play Manual,Male,St.X, and Highlands,that has to be the toughest ood schedule in the state.

My message was misconstrued. Sorry. I actually love the look of black (and some brown variants) on players.

There's no denying that, you also left off Johnson Central who will be one of the Top 5A teams.

 

My point is that when you lose as many games as they probably will, it ultimately has an effect on your psyche and your team's confidence. Considering Central's track record of lacking discipline, this could be treacherous.

 

Central is easily the most talented team in 3A, but there are also a couple other teams that will be pretty stout.

That's a good point. Scroggins inherited a brutal schedule. Central is a good team and has some very good players, depth will be an issue all year when going against the teams from larger classes and if they lose most of those in close games I don't know if Ty and company can keep them upbeat enough to stay focused. However if they can win the games they are supposed to and sneak a win over one of the larger class teams it bodes well for their playoff run, who else in 3A will face such a schedule.

Manual LOSS 20-13

Male Probable loss

Bulliet East Probable win

Etown Win

Western Win

Shawnee Win

Johnson Central I'm going to say probable win, but this is out of ignorance and stereotype, I highly doubt that JC has the speed to matchup with Central, but I say that without ever seeing JC play.

Moore Win

St X Loss

Highlands Loss

 

I think they will go 6-4 in a brutal regular season, They would not shock be by playing up and beating Male, X, or Highlands.

 

BTW What a culture clash the JC game will be, I know I won't go to that game but that is one I'd like to see.

This is a good win to start the season with for Manual, it will not give them the big head, but it is a quality win against a good team.

Good heavens, is that Central's schedule? They aren't fooling around are they.
