According to the Enquirer it will be webcast on http://www.nky.com

That's right. NKY.com will have the webcast tonight.

But, based on some of their past webcasts, you might want to keep 96.5 on, just to verify the current score. :D

I know with these high temps. that alot of High Schools are moving their game times to later in the evening. I am hoping that the Saturday little leagues in the area also take note and reschedule their games. If the high schools are using caution, the little leagues definately need to do the same.

FTJFL is monitoring closely. Several practices either cancelled or "no pads" already this year. Weather is supposed to be less oppressive tomorrow.

I hope you are right in re the Highlands Ryle game not being competitive, with Highlands being the big winner. But I don't see it that way. I think its going to be a lot closer than people think.

If Dixie has worked as hard this off season as some have alluded to, I think Dixie's margin of victory will be greater than Highlands. Beechwood's good, don't get me wrong, and they are somewhat quicker than last year, but in this type of weather, Beechwood's single platooning is going to play a big role in the game plus they are still playing some of their "big boys" both ways and after watching their jv scrimmage against Highlands, they don't have much depth. Plus, I expect Dixie's special teams to out perform Beechwood's.

Don't get me wrong; I would love Beechwood to paste Dixie (sorry Sandy and Red Heat) as that would make me feel real good about our future matchup with the Red Colonels. But I don't think its going to happen (sorry Ru).

I expect Dixie to win by 21. Highlands will not have any such advantage against Ryle. With 90 kids on the squad and supposedly only a couple of kids playing both way, the heat won't be near the factor with them as it will be for the Tigers. Highlands on the other hand, while excellently conditioned, has a lot of kids playing both ways.

I expect the Dixie Beechwood game to close at first before Dixie pulls away. On the other hand, I expect Highlands to be up early, with Ryle getting back in the game late.

Highlands will win big and Josh Conner will have 3td,s by the half. This kid averaged 10 yards per carry as a soph. Poor little Raiders get STOMPED!!!!:fight: :ylsuper: :ylsuper: :ylsuper: :fight:

It may be less oppressive, but it needs to be a lot less oppressive. These kids are no where close to being as acclimated to the heat as the high school kids are (what have most teams had, three or four practices and a couple of them have been without pads on) and are no where near as educated on the effect on the need to hydrate themselves. If Ryle and Highlands thought it was going to be too hot to play the JV game at 10 (which is why they moved it up to 8), not sure how we can think its not too hot to play junior football league games after the JV game.

The other thing to keep in mind is that with the 7/8 grade format there is a very limited ability to substitute at least for the first two quarters.

Glad you guys are going to monitor it closely. Smart call. Zero reason to risk any of these kids getting hurt by the heat.

Unless I'm mistaken, they just report from the scene of the game during the evening sports segments.

Channel 12 will definately be webcasting the game tonight from one camera angle. http://www.local12.com

I still haven't been able to find mention of a full-game webcast. But I'm still looking. I did find this:

Every Friday night, beginning August 24th, Brad Johansen and 12 Sports go straight to where the action is...the biggest high school game of the week. Join us on-site before the game, watch LOCAL 12 for live updates during the 5P, 5:30 and 6P newscasts, or tune in to KISS 107FM. Then, tune in to LOCAL 12 at 11P for a complete recap of all the day's action. Don't miss a moment of all the fun, pageantry and excitement that is Tri-State football.

There will be a link on the front page of the site to the webcast when the game begins. There will be a different game each week live on the web.

Found it. Thanks! :ylsuper:

I've searched their entire site. Although they claim to be showing it, I can't find it. :irked:
