  1. Highlands can win this game. I lived in grew up in Cinti. and the only thing that will keep Ky teams from beating Ohio teams is perception. Everyone remembers the GCL from the 70's when Newport and Covington Cath. dropped out but since that time the Ky teams are alot better. I thought Highlands got a bad deal against ELDER in 2000 at Paul Brown and believe me they did ( I went to Elder in the 70's ) and alot of the times I am very biased but the officials made some horrible calls. In 2002 Trinity played Elder and throttled them and Elder went on to win the state that year. I guess what I am trying to say is the Northern Kentucky High schools have to quit going into these games thinking that it is a major accomplishment to beat an Ohio team. Just play as hard as you can and with a chip on the shoulder and show the Ohio teams that the talent is just as good or better and so is the coaching.:fight: :fight: :fight: :fight:
  2. Sportz Addict you are right he is not Mike Mitchell he is a legitimate D1 running back and will excel at that level also. Oh yeah did we all forget that he is a junior who averaged 10 yards a carry as a soph ( 70 carries - 750 yards ). By the way he had 227 yards on 19 carries for an average of 11.52 ypc and 5 touchdowns Fri night. Yes he did fumble however, HHS has never and will never have a talent like him again when he is finished next year. So please dont compare him with anyone yet because he is just getting started. Also I believe I called this one yesterday ( Josh will have 3 tds by the half ).:ylsuper: :ylsuper: :ylsuper:
  3. Highlands will win big and Josh Conner will have 3td,s by the half. This kid averaged 10 yards per carry as a soph. Poor little Raiders get STOMPED!!!!:fight: :ylsuper: :ylsuper: :ylsuper: :fight:
  4. These kids are a special talent and I too want to see their actions speak for them. Everyone knows of Jacobs, Gabbard and Sandfoss, but we are talking about 30 to 40 kids deep. They have enough talent to have an Offense and Defense separately. Looking forward to 2 more state title games. I am not trying to brag too early on them but they have a ton of team talent not individual statistics. They have not even started the engine yet, so as far as the Holmes scrimmage who cares.:thumb:
  5. There was a discussion of team speed and quickness after stating what NCC's record would be and why.
  6. I know for a fact that each skilled position players were clocked twice by the coaches. The fastest time was a 4.4 and 4.5 from a non starter who had a wrapped ankle. He does play special teams so maybe you will see. There were at least 3 other 4.5 times and a bunch of 4.6's. I do agree with you Proud Papa that is not world class speed considering Deion Sanders consisently ran 4.25. Sandman you will see soon enough.:flame:
  7. Maybe you should call Eddie and confirm. This junior and senior class will go down as the best ever at NCC. The posted 40 times dont mean squat but wait until the end of the year and everything has gelled. It will be scary. There will be a serious payback for the lack of respect this bunch has received. Its a shame the Bluebird series ended before this group arrived on the hill. :irked:
  8. I hope there are more people who think like this because when you see the team speed NCC has you will think the boys further up the hill are overrated in this category. By the way the Camels come to NEWPORT to play the Breds. I agree the Camels are better than they used to be but this is without a doubt the quickest team NCC has ever had. This is not to brag, this is to educate people who are not into what the Breds are about to achieve!!! If they lose it will be to Beechwood @ BWood the week before the playoffs.
  9. More like 14-1 and another state title. There is nobody on their schedule that matches up with their quickness. Ben Parr will only be on the sideline for so long and then it will really be on.:fight: :fight:
  10. Robby Kues will start at QB until Ben Parr can use some vital JV time to ensure he is ready to go after his injured shoulder. Kues arm is supposed to be a little stronger but from what I hear from a wr , Ben Parr is alot more accurate and is a very powerful runner. Just a matter of time I guess.
  11. I lived in Ohio for 40 years and went to Cinti Elder ( I bleed purple ). Louisville Trinity can play with anyone in Ohio or the rest of the country. CCH had a very good team but not in Trinity's class.
  12. Are there any juniors or sophomores to watch out for this year in NKY football.
