Sandman32
I would say for Dixie to watch out for sophmore RB Hagerty. He will be something special.

DMZ76
I think Robbie Kues and Ben "the Eskimo" Paar will be making noise down on the hill for NCC. Both are great all-around atheletes.

Ben is a good player who should get even better. I'll add Soph Austin Johnson for Campbell Co and Soph Miles Simpson for Simon Kenton to the list. Uncle Charlie
Josh Montooth (junior) should be Ludlow's big play guy. He runs around a 4.4 and will for sure return kicks. He was a star as a frosh at Highlands and took last year to learn Ludlow's system. With a year of Coach Borcher's playbook experience look for Josh to make some rediculous plays for the Panthers. How did Highlands lose this kid? and why? No offense to Ludlow as they always have a good group of tough river kids but trying to understand how a 4.4 speedster decides to leave a perrennial state champ to a smaller school. rustyhurd
Agreed ... Austin Johnson is one to watch. He's a player Austin is very very quick. He also is very very small. Doesn't break many tackles. If he can get past the line not many will catch him.

Wasn't Josh Connor at Highlands then. Hmmm! Josh M would have been a nice player if he stayed at HHS. Saw him at the scrimmage Friday night. How big is Josh M? Seems to me he hasn't gotten much bigger since he dominated in "Little League" And he was very fast but a 4.4. I remeber last year on some thread when people would talk about kids running 4.4's and 4.3's and they classified them as world class sprinters. Wow! Good Luck to Josh. DMZ76
Where exactly is "down on the hill"? Just messing with you... sorry...down on the hill would be K-Mart! From where I sit @ HHS, the knob that NCC rests upon is the "hill". Though they play in the "valley" of the Wildcats of Newport!!

I talked with the "Mongoose" Friday at the scrimmage of HHS/BHS. He looked good, really "cut", and said he's good to go for the Panthers! He was checking out his "buddies" and I couldn't help but think he wanted to be out there with them. His offensive time may have been limited behind Crawford, Conner, Head but he was an absolute Crusher on D. We'll miss him. But his academics are now squared, he's succeeding on and off the field. I wish him all the best and will follow his successes @ Ludlow. Our loss is their gain! "TURN THE MONGOOSE LOOSE!!"
