How did Highlands lose this kid? and why? No offense to Ludlow as they always have a good group of tough river kids but trying to understand how a 4.4 speedster decides to leave a perrennial state champ to a smaller school.

I think his parents relocated to Ludlow which is where Josh played NKYFL.

I talked to Josh most of the scrimmage and he is happy to be at Ludlow. I asked him if he missed Highlands and he said he did but Ludlow is a good fit for him. As long as he is happy, thats good enough for me. He wanted to talk to his friends after the game and let them know that they played a good game. He also is looking forward to playing Beechwood this year and feels that Ludlow has a good chance of beating Beechwood (which is what we want all of our player to think). I have been around Josh during football season ever since he was in the fourth grade and can say that he has a special talent that few kids have. Good luck Josh, I know you will have a special year this year and next!!!

Another thing that impressed me was that coach Dale Mueller stopped by to talk to Josh and wish him well but also let him know that we missed him.

The Birds have a few young talents: Roller, Collingsworth, Brown, Fennell, Aiford and the couple nice Lineman. These boys are all going to play this year. Good Luck!!

They all looked very solid in the HHS vs. BHS scrimmage. I was especially impressed with Donnie Brown and Brandon Roller. Roller always gets to the ball first and Donnie is there to pound the ball carrier when he hits the line of scrimmage.

They should be alright.

Besides Ludlow, any predictions on any more class A' standouts?

I'm going to say Daniel Losack from Boone county. I hear he has been doing very well and could help to open up Boone's passing game...If it ever shows up:thumb:
