August 16, 200719 yr Only better than the team that won 8 games...I'll take it...again, a good chance of being significantly better...we will know quickly in Week 3 where they are... So you think the schedule is a favorable as last year? UK has a tough road laid out for them this year and must see a significant improvement on D. Can they do it? I'll wait and see...
August 16, 200719 yr And La Monroe is reason enough for me to think it's likely much of the same. If they don't improve DRASTICALLY it isn't going to be a fun season for the 70,000 strong... They won with the nations worst defense last year, what makes you think that will change? The offense will be as good or better, and the defense can't get worse.
August 16, 200719 yr They won with the nations worst defense last year, what makes you think that will change? A much less friendly schedule...
August 16, 200719 yr A much less friendly schedule... Not much less...4 of the 5 teams they lost to come to Lexington...

August 16, 200719 yr The cardinal-red blinders are out tonight! :lol:It works both ways. I am not saying that they will not be better. I think that they might, however I don't think that it goes without saying that just because a team is young that they are sure to significantly improve from one year to the next. There could be a lot of good reasons that the UK defense will improve, but aging one year is not the no brainer some are acting like it is. Ok UK will be better on Defense, the questions are how, when, and why? And being young and having a tough year last year is not enough to answer those questions. So let's here some rational reasons.
August 16, 200719 yr Not much less...4 of the 5 teams they lost to come to Lexington... That's the point. You strongly believe they will improve on that by playing at home???
August 16, 200719 yr I can't believe you keep bringing up one game last September for the basis of your entire argument. November 18th...

August 16, 200719 yr Ok, November 18th. I still can't believe you're doing it... Why can't you believe it??? It's as predictable as the sun coming up tomorrow...
August 16, 200719 yr Ok, November 18th. I still can't believe you're doing it... You can't believe I'm talking about giving up 501 yards (351 on the ground) to a 1 AA team in November at home while folks are talking about the D finishing strong? 42-40 over the Sun Belt in NOVEMBER+D that was significantly better down the stretch=...

Talk to me about the defense versus Clemson. What did you see there?
