There was a discussion of team speed and quickness after stating what NCC's record would be and why.

Let's keep this on track, Everyone! No need to shut down a good thread.

The Birds should post 4 shutouts along the way.

 

A couple games may be close but ya got to give it to the Birds' strength and character to win those.

I think Murray will go 9-1 or 8-2 with Mayfield going 8-2.Calloway County will go 3-7 and Marshall will go 7-3. Graves will go 5-5.

Maybe you should call Eddie and confirm. This junior and senior class will go down as the best ever at NCC. The posted 40 times dont mean squat but wait until the end of the year and everything has gelled. It will be scary. There will be a serious payback for the lack of respect this bunch has received. Its a shame the Bluebird series ended before this group arrived on the hill. :irked:

 

Best ever??? Do you know of Frank Jacobs, Gary Gabbard, Terry Sandfoss and that crew? What about the team from the sixties that was runner-up in the GCL, not exactly AA in Kentucky? I'm sure this team will be good, but they haven't played a game yet. Scrimmaging Holmes isn't exactly like blasting CovCath. I hope nothing but the best for them, but I like it when the team does the talking.

 

I look for NewCath to go 8-2 with losses to CovCath and Ryle. Beechwood and Campbell Co. are swing games, but I believe that the Breds prevail.

These kids are a special talent and I too want to see their actions speak for them. Everyone knows of Jacobs, Gabbard and Sandfoss, but we are talking about 30 to 40 kids deep. They have enough talent to have an Offense and Defense separately. Looking forward to 2 more state title games. I am not trying to brag too early on them but they have a ton of team talent not individual statistics. They have not even started the engine yet, so as far as the Holmes scrimmage who cares.:thumb:

I love seeing the enthusiasm for a program and NCC homers coming out of the woodwork, even if it it the preseason. From what I saw at the Holmes scrimmage this is a very talented group that seems to be gelling quickly. I think 7-3, give or take a game is my best guess after only seeing one scrimmage. This is more in tribute to a cut-throat schedule then to the team's quality. Too early to get a good feel of how deep they are until they play some of the 6A teams on the schedule. After tonight I think everyone will have a better feel of how good this team is. And hopefully IT IS the greatest team NCC has ever seen. I could think of nothing that would please me more. Go prove me wrong, I would be delighted to eat crow if they go 14-1 only losing to Beechwood.

Since every team in the district gets in the playoffs we will save our varsity players for the games that mean something and play our freshmen in the rest. We also need time to get the wishbone working. :sssh:
