cvillecat
It is good to see Webb doing well. A strong finish and he could win his 2nd straight Cy Young. Not only is Webb a great pitcher but he is a class act as welll.
cshs81
What's the record? 54? 56? I know Drysdale had a streak going at one point and it appeared that it was over when he hit a batter with bases loaded. However, the batter was called back after Blue said he didn't make any attempt to get out of the way. He then was put out and the streak continued. The Scribe
On a side note, I was at the game at Dodger Stadium where Orel gave up his last runs before beginning his streak in 1988. I guess I'm bad luck.
LRCW
59 is the record. Webb is up to 41 through 8 in Atlanta. Webb throws a 2 hit shutout for his 3rd straight shutout and the steak is at 42. Unbelievable. I was going to come looking for you Scibe if you had jinxed him.
