August 9, 200719 yr I can't remember how many get invited to NYC for the Heisman but I believe it use to be 4 and now only 3. At any rate I will give 5 guys that the final 3 will come from. Brohm Booty Mcfadden Slaton Brennan I believe the winner will be Mcfadden. Many are throwing out Tebow's name and he may get a good deal of mention. However being a sophmore you can forget it. I don't care how good he plays, in no way will he win.

It wouldn't surprise me either if he won it his junior and senior year if he sticks around. McCoy? You aren't talking about the QB at Texas are you?
August 9, 200719 yr Let the games be played first. Brian has a good of chance as anyone. I see a "DarkHorse" maybe coming into play. There are no clear cut favotites out there. If not a Bama Guy (never had one) I hope its a local guy.

August 9, 200719 yr I think he can win the heisman and it will come down to his stats compared to Booty, if even or better, I think the writers give it to him, only because USC had two recent recepients. Just my two cents. I personally think that Slayton will win.

August 10, 200719 yr Michigan - Henne and Hart USC - Booty Texas - McCoy U of L - Brohm West Virginia - White and Slaton Florida - Tebow Those would probably be the names I'd look most at right now because they have the names and their teams will likely have enough success to keep them in the running (I don't think Arkansas will be good enough to give McFadden a real shot at winning)...I think the U of L vs. West Virginia game will likely eliminate the player(s) from the losing team...Henne and Hart probably won't win, IMO...so, my pre-season prediction is that the heisman will come from this list...Booty, Tebow, McCoy, or Brohm (I think U of L will beat WVU)... Unless someone puts up astronomical numbers, I think the team success may once again play the defining role...so, whoever puts up great numbers on a team that is playing for a national title will likely win the award. Just my opinion. Tebow??? We really don't even know if he is a good college QB yet...certainly hasn't done anything to be considered a Heisman contender yet...

Just my opinion. The wide receiver from Cal is electrifying, will play on the National stage, at home, against a ranked UT to open up the season. He's well known as well, and if he helps Cal beat USC...he's got a shot.
