Buffalo Gap
...of country music's platinum recording duo "Montgomery Gentry" took part in a funny skit for the Advocate-Messenger's Area Football Preview a couple weeks ago. Follow the link, and the video footage will be on the front screen for you to play. It's pretty funny. Enjoy. Jaggers' youngest daughter makes her Hollywood, 10 second cameo, too and a little nervous, like any 8 year old would be! haha (They change the video's every couple days, so if it's not on the front page, I guess you'll just have to thumb you're way through the site?!) http://www.amnews.com/
cshs81
That looked like ol' Bob Allen in the video. Good guy.
Buffalo Gap
That looked like ol' Bob Allen in the video. Good guy. That it was and that he is. You can hear Larry Vaught in the background, making comments towards Jaggers too, they're pretty good.

Buffalo Gap
Who are the other coaches? On the staff or are you asking if other coaches are in the video?? Marty was the only Mercer coach in the clip.

theguru
I just don't get it, why in the world would the Advocate-Messenger pair high schools sports and gambling/poker...
PulpFiction
I just don't get it, why in the world would the Advocate-Messenger pair high schools sports and gambling/poker... I believe they were referring to Jaggers having some "Aces in the hole" this coming season.
PurplePride92
In the football preview, Jaggers stated that he needs some Aces like he had last year in Cory and Brandon. By no means was the Advocate Messenger or Larry Vaught promoting or endorsing gambling(even though I love poker). The preview had Jaggers holding 5 Aces in all. Just a play of words, nothing serious. theguru
If you watch the video it is a lot more than just a play of words, they are all sitting at a poker or blackjack table with cards and betting chips.
ThrowItDeep
Personally, nothing wrong with it. It's a sport. It's on ESPN. Would it have been better to have him playing in a golf scramble (gambling) or a fishing tournament (gambling), or buying a ticket for a split the pot (gambling)??? I immediately thought of having an ace in the hole and especially an ace up his sleeve (when the video showed it). Guru, I understand your thought, but unless it showed Marty betting on football games, I think it was a good thing.

theguru
I don't want to get outside the rules in this thread. In closing, given what just happened in the NBA, I think it was a poor choice of a promo.
