August 7, 200719 yr They quickly strip off the inflicted's trousers and cram a bag of ice into his crotch area :scared: to lower the body temperature as quickly as possible. It would have been especially effective treatment if it was me. I'd have immediately run for the hills and not stompped until I reached a nice, cool part of Canada!
August 7, 200719 yr Author For the sake of your reputation, you might want to explain that one a little better. Sorry! Let me make myself more clear...my job requires long hours outside in the summer about five times a year. For example, last Thursday I worked from 8am - 10pm, Friday: 4:30am - Midnight, Saturday: 6:30am - 1am.
August 7, 200719 yr A buddy of mine was lifting one day... excessive heat and humidity... had been lifting for about an hour and a half... when he just sits, and everyone kinda looked at him for a minute and he worked up the strength to exit the weight room shaking and sat on the concrete ground leaning up against the building. Eventually he vomited and was too weak to move away from it, so literally his arm was soaked in vomit as he lay against the building and wanted to go to sleep... we didn't let him and it was probably a good thing... he went the ER and got a couple IV's... heat exhaustion... come to find out a couple years earlier this same guy threw up over 7 times trying to finish a practice, then struggled his way to a phone to call someone taking him to the hospital once he did... heat exhaustion... needless to say... hydration has now been emphasized to him...

August 7, 200719 yr Growing up, we called this "white-eyeing" because the afflicted person's eyes would roll back and you would only see the white of their eyes. It happened to me once baling hay when I was 15 or 16 years old. I hope you are feeling better, TD.
