Is the parking at Montgomery a problem or is it the seating?

To answer some of the above questions. The regional tourney site is decided by the district that is hosting the region that year. This coming year it will be the 40th districts turn. I feel the 40th district this year will choose Montgomery Co as the site. As far as parking, I feel it will be better at Montgomery Co...hate that hill side parking at Mason..if it rains...mud everywhere. Seating...we all know Montgomery Co. will not hold as many....so leave early. Chair back seats a big plus for Montgomery.

No, just be careful navigating around the parking lot.

Officially, the KHSAA commissioner makes the decision. The KHSAA askes the member schools to present a plan on where the tournament is held but the official decision is made by the commissioner.

How many schools in the 10th region could actually hold the regional tournament ,only two, Mason and Montgomery ,so is this fair to all the other schools in the region. Fairness is not the question, so have the tournament where you have the better facilities.:argue:

Clark wins the the 10th region tournament last year on Mason's floor and there is still the talk about fairness.....unbelievable!

If Montgomery and Mason are in the finals of the regional tournament this coming year and the way I see it there is that chance and the tournament is held at Montgomery ,there will be 500 plus people turned away. :thumb:

Its voted on 1st by the district thats is hosting,Then is passed along to the commish and they have the right to say no it cant be held there or yeah and its a go.

Maybe Harrison just needs to build a 8,000 seat gym so that the 10th could be right in the middle! They are renovating the football field, maybe the gym is next...

I can remember when the regional tournament was held at Harrison Co. At that time Harrison Co had the largest gym in the 10th region.

Deming is having a new school built.....They may build a new gym, so they may host the region

If they can bring Hall of Fame Coach Mike Reitz back before retirement, anything is possible. It certainly would stop a bunch of bellyaching if Harrison would be able to accomodate the seating, you wouldn't hear so much about the distance problem, the fairness(or maybe Harrison Co faithful would since they would be hosting but oh well, if there are ever any problems, contact Mason County faithful cause they could give you advice on how to handle those that could and would find a problem with the school hosting:p ). By the way that would indeed happen, there would be a fairness problem somewhere and somehow. By the way in the end whoever won on that given Day or Night, would be the better team on that day or night. I for one would support Harrison County if they could accomodate.
