Track the Reds: 2nd Half

I don't think Dunn will be around. Gil is the ss of the future although he's been hurt this year.

I agree, Dunn is gone by the end of next year at the latest IMO.

I would add Bailey to that list also.

:thumb: :thumb: Completely forgot about him, most definately Bailey would not be moved at all.

2 pages and 64 post and the Reds haven't played a game in the 2nd half yet! This shows that we are fans, love the misery or both

Votto isn't going anywhere either.

In 2009, the Reds will have an infield of Votto (1B), Phillips (2b), Jerry Gill (ss), and Encarnacion (3B). The outfield will be someone in left, Hamilton in center and Bruce in right.

I don't that as too shabby if Votto, Hamilton, and Bruce continue to develop.

I'd be cool with that.

Yeah, that would be a pretty decent offense, but what about the pitching. That is still the most important thing, and there are not any more saviors like Bailey in the minors, not that anyone would expect there to be, but there is not a whole lot of home grown pitching talent down on the farm.

Actually, many believe Johnny Cueto can be every bit as good as Bailey.

Then i am happy to be wrong then. :D

I actually miss George and Chrissy.

Yes, I know that will go away about 22 seconds into the broadcast tonight, but I miss their key analysis and breaking down a game I could NEVER understand.

Going to be a fun road trip.

My point about Votto is if Gonzalez is untouchable than Votto would have to be. IMO Bruce,Bailey,Cueto,Phillips and Hamilton should be the untouchables

My point about Votto is if Gonzalez is untouchable than Votto would have to be.

Except it's a point with little logic behind it...

Who on Earth said Gonzalez was untouchable and what do they have in common? One is a high-priced free agent veteran player and one is a 24 year old prospect. I don't even see the correlation.

You can count me in that group also. The kid has put up some very good numbers since being promoted to AA.
