I don't even see the correlation. The Philadelphia Daily News reports that scouts say the Reds are alerting other clubs that everybody on their roster is available except Aaron Harang, Homer Bailey, Josh Hamilton, Alex Gonzalez and Brandon Phillips. . I like Gonzo and hope he stays through his contract, but I certainly wouldn't hang up on somone with a great offer if he was included. I just don't get Moeller coming back. Who catches at AAA when Moeller is up? Dickerson has never been up and Votto would have been the only other option. Not sure what else they could do with this move if they didn't add pitching...
