August 24, 200719 yr Look how big his back is. How many guys have that much room between the bottom of their number and their waist?
August 24, 200719 yr If Dunn reviewed the tape like he said he would, E-5 better hope he doesn't get a walk off hit any time soon... :scared:
August 24, 200719 yr Dunn is 0 for 5 this year with bases loaded. Bum, right? Hold on. He has 4 Walks. Think about that. 4 times a team said "you will get no pitches to hit and we'll take our chances with the next guy." He has 9 RBIs with bases loaded - 2 or 3 sac flies. So, remembering that the name of the game is to score runs, he has driven in 9 runs in about 11 or 12 plate appearances with 4 of those times him being limited to only 1 rbi due to the walk.

August 24, 200719 yr I don't know where I think I saw this but somewhere it seems I read that Jr ONLY had 4 walkoff homers in his career. Last night was Dunn's 6th. I don't even know where to go to check and see if that # is correct for JR. Figured someone on here would know.

August 24, 200719 yr I've seen that number shown on FSN before... So are we saying in some regards, Dunn is more clutch than Jr.:sssh: HSSB will like hearing that.:thumb:

Forgive my ignorance, but where do the other 2-3 RBI's come from with the bases loaded? 4 walks and two sacrifice flies = 6 RBI's. Does he have another 3 fielders choices? If he does that means he hasn't struck out very often w/ the bases loaded.

So when they walk Dunn with the bases loaded, it's because they're afraid to throw to him? Bull. I'd be willing to bet it's because the pitcher can't throw strikes.
August 24, 200719 yr So when they walk Dunn with the bases loaded, it's because they're afraid to throw to him? Bull. I'd be willing to bet it's because the pitcher can't throw strikes.Or is pitching around him. Like a smart pitcher would. Lay one down the pipe and you ge ta salami in to the moon deck, ala last night. That was a meatball and he very rarely misses those.

August 24, 200719 yr By the way: The "in the playoff hunt" Braves are 6 games back. The "17 games behind them" Reds are 8 1/2 games back. So, are they both in the playoff hunt or are neither of them in the playoff hunt? Ain't life funny.... The "in the playoff hunt" Braves are 3.0 games out of the Wild card race. (That does count as playoffs, right?) The "17 games behind them" Reds are 11.5 games out. All but eliminated. Oh, and we all know they're not going to win their division. That's just crazy talk.
August 24, 200719 yr HB20, hopefully you'll forgive me when I subtly remind you about all of these clever "losing record" jokes you keep throwing around in about 3 months. You know, in the midst of the NFL season. :sssh: I can take it. :thumb: Maybe you can remember that as well. The Bengals are not guaranteed to finish better than the G-Men. They haven't really left them in the dust these past two years.
August 24, 200719 yr  I cant wait until Eli lays an egg in three months and we have to read his rant on why the Bengals suck and how Paul Brown Stadium is so dangerous for Giants "fans". Dangerous? Maybe not. Full of a lot of drunk idiots? Yes.
