We're looking to try some new places this year and the parents have pretty much decided the Old Mill is something we need to try. Was looking through a booklet and saw a place called "The Peddlers"...Apparently was voted the best steak place in Gatlinburg....Anyone ever been there?

July 9, 200719 yr Calhoun's in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg is always good. There's also a restaurant named Howard's in Gatlinburg up near the Ober Gatlinburg tram entrance on the opposite side of the street. Excellent steaks, trout and prime rib but a little bit pricey. Their burgers are great too and a little more economical.

Cost me $35.00 just for me, but hey I'm worth it!
July 9, 200719 yr Apple Barn is a MUST in Pigeon Forge...country ham breakfast is great!!! For a steak, DO NOT MISS the Peddler in Gatlinburg,,,best steak I have ever had ANYWHERE!!!
July 9, 200719 yr Old Mill is good but it is expensive but desert is included. It's food reminds me of Cracker Barrell The Smoky MOuntain Brewery was REAL GOOD and we like the samples there as well. We also ate at the Dixie Stampede. It had good food as well with the show.
July 10, 200719 yr The Smokey Mountain Brewery is the best place I have ever eaten in my life! I am making the trip down to Gatlinburg for the week here in about 2 weeks myself! I agree. Also try Calhoun's just before the Brewery, try the steak Calhoun. My wife and I had a great dinner at the Greenbriar which is off the beaten path. Last time I was there the Burning Bush restaurant was gone. We also had a good meal at the Alamo steakhouse.
July 10, 200719 yr We just returned from Gatlinburg last week. The first night we ate ate Bennett's. The next morning my son and I ate the Pancake Pantry. We also ate at Old Mill (our waitress offered this information since we also had children in the group - you can split an order of meat and buy a side of veggies for just a little more - it also included dessert for everyone). We tried to eat at Apple Barn on the way home. however they don't open until 9:00am - I've heard it is great. Howard's is pricey, but does have a nice outside patio by the brook.
July 10, 200719 yr Was in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg from June 25-30. At at Fiddler's Feast Dinner Show-Excellent food and great entertainment. We stayed next door at National Parks Resort Lodge. Received $4.00 off on each adult ticket and kids got in free. Total cost was $52.00 for two kids and two adults. Menu was steak and chicken, cole slaw, baked beans, potatos, bread, dessert and unlimited drinks. Also ate at Pop's Catfish- Buffet with fish and or chicken and side items. Very good food. A must stop is Bubba Gump's in Gatlinburg at traffic light #8. A seafood restaurant themed from the Forrest Gump movie.
July 10, 200719 yr Go to the store and get some of your favorite hot dogs and whatever to go with them. Drive up to the Chimneys picnic area and have a wonderful cook-out. Take a chair to sit in and enjoy the water rushing down the mountain beside where you eat. It's better than any restaurant.

Peddler....Gatlinburg (They slice your steak at your table you can pick your own thickness) 2. Howards...Gatlinburg...Order the signature Filet Mignon with the bone still in....most tender piece of beef you will ever eat 3. Calhouns...Gatlinburg...Prime rib or rack of ribs 4. Maxwells...Gatlinburg...Crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer All beef and seafood is good. 5. Alamo Steakhouse....Pigeon Forge.. Breakfast 1. Old Mill 2. Apple Barn 3. Log Cabin
July 19, 200719 yr A must stop is Bubba Gump's in Gatlinburg at traffic light #8. A seafood restaurant themed from the Forrest Gump movie. Yes, me and my wife ate there a week from today and it was GREAT. I got the Sampler which was a little of all the kinds of Shrimp, with the garlic bread basket.
