June 26, 200719 yr The layoff has to have an effect on the BCS title game. Regardless of which team had the longer layoff, breaks of 40 and 51 days between games is simply insane. That's almost like starting the season over with a national championship game. Again.. it didn't affect tOSU's kickoff return team.

June 26, 200719 yr I'll will have some if your offering. Seriously though, I REALLY don't think UoL would play for the title if say: Michigan was undefeated; Louisville was undefeated; AND USC, FLORIDA, etc has one loss

Some UK fans are ok with the switch because the coaching staff thinks it will help them win the game. UofL fans realize that it is just in the interest of masking the importance of the game, or more accurately the impact of the loss. UofL fans believe that the importance of being on national TV is not worth moving the game. UK fans think that playing on national TV isn't worth playing on weekdays. UK fans don't think UofL has emerged on the national scene because they haven't won a national championship. UofL fans think winning a BCS bowl game disputes that. UK fans think our BCS game doesn't count.

That same UK fan thinks there's only going to be 3 (MAYBE 4) bowl teams on Louisville's schedule, which will only happen if UK doesn't make the cut. At least 3 of the Big East teams on the schedule will make a bowl, maybe 4. I think that Utah's schedule bears out for a bowl. MTSU was a bowl team last year, and might be again this year. And then there's the 'Cats, will they make it?

To the arguement of National Power. Any team that is given serious attention as a National title contender, is currently a National Power.
