Did Indiana wear down KY?? It seems like a lot of good players only played a few minutes for Ky.

It appears there were others who saw that too.

Well by looking at the box score it appeared that Coach Bevers played is most athletic players as much as possible for defensive purposes probably as much as anything else. Beckham is a great athlete, but he has trouble scoring and it showed. Rice and Hill both had good minutes because they were actually playing very well its hard to take anything away from them. Then Coleman and Jacobs had to play a lot (Jeff Brooks would have helped) because they were the 2 biggest players. Pettigrew is also an athletic kid, but he did not get a lot done. Walls is the best player on the team and he is inexpendable really. It just did not leave a lot of minutes left for other guys. Look for Beckham and even Jacobs to play less next game IMO.

He is from Trinity and he will be playing in the Atlantic Sun conference next year with Division 1 Kennesaw State.

I'm glad I got to read that link because I wanted know why Bevars didn't play Fraliex. IMO I believe that he deserved more than 5 garbage minutes. One situation early in the 2nd half, Fraliex played about a minute, didn't do anything wrong and got pulled. He came off the court shaking his head. I felt for the kid. Kentucky was down 20+ pretty much the entire game.

I don't know what Indiana will have next year, but it seems to be the only chance in a long time for Kentucky to beat Indiana. Really Kentucky just doesnt have the athletes/good basketball players it takes to beat Indiana.

 

Atleast next year with Miller, Mackey, and Hopson we will have a great foundation for a very good team.

This series used to be big time. What is the reason for its lost luster - the fact that Kentucky rarely competes any more, the increased number of all-star games, college responsibilities, or something else? Let's hope Kentucky can get a W tonight. BTW, what's the story with Fraliex not playing? Is the game on TV or radio?

On Fraliex heard two stories. 1. Was not happy with his PT last week in the All Star Game. 2. He had started summer school this week.

My guess it's a little of both ...

 

I hate to see any player do this. Regardless of whether you're happy or not with the way things are going, I feel like you should honor your commitment to the team and your teammates.

 

Dan Langhi did the same thing after the first game in 1996 ... not a good reflection on us westerners.

According to an article in the Indystar.com, Indiana's attendance to the game has steadily declined. 7,500 in 2005, 6,246 in 2006, and as of midday Friday an estimated 4,750 tickets for this year.
