June 11, 200719 yr Alot of the favs is already mentioned, but one i dont see is Double Dribble. I loved that game. Double Dribble was great. The Boston "Frogs" never missed! And how could you not love the floating bank shot three-pointers from the corners! Also loved: Tetris (great fun back in college after coming home loaded from the bars) The Tecmo Bowls, especially Super Tecmo Bowl RBI Baseball 1 and 2 (The Expos were my favorite team to use. They had an outrageous amount of speed, and Denny Martinez was nasty!) Punch Out (I owned Mike) Baseball Stars

June 11, 200719 yr There was a baseball game that was awesome.... it had several all star teams or you could make your own. That was really cool at the time. Plus the music still rings around in my head!

We used to joke about how there were always at least one or two players on each team that had an "S" (think Superman) on their jerseys.

June 11, 200719 yr Anyone remember when a game wouldn't work all the patterns used to get a game to work. Take game, blow once in NES, blow 2 big deep breaths in the game, tap side of NES, and place game back in console very slowly not hitting any edges! Worked everytime.. :lol:
June 11, 200719 yr Tecmo Bowl. I set more records playing with the 49ers than any other team, even against Bo Jackson. Baseball Stars. Best baseball game of that time and one of the first to keep track of season stats as you played. Hated playing the Black Sox. I once had a team on there called "JC and the Boys" It was Jesus and the 12 disciples (Simon-Peter batted cleanup, Bartholomew was a vaccuum at third base, but I rarely pitched Doubting Thomas). Still have it, and the gun that came with Duck Hunt.

I can't fathom ever getting rid of such an important piece of cultural history. It is quite possibly the most influential gaming console of all time rivalled by, at the closest, the GameBoy. The Atari 2600 was important but the NES dominated the market longer than any console has before or since. Shoot they still made some in Japan for certain niche markets to 2003. :eek:
