June 11, 200719 yr Anyone remember when a game wouldn't work all the patterns used to get a game to work. Take game, blow once in NES, blow 2 big deep breaths in the game, tap side of NES, and place game back in console very slowly not hitting any edges! Worked everytime.. :lol: That, and placing a second game cartridge on top of the one you want to play, holding it down in the console to let it connect better.

June 11, 200719 yr In college at U of L, we had a no Raiders rule. Many hours of Tecmo Bowl and thousands of Bud Lights got in the way of actually attending classes.

June 11, 200719 yr One of the oddball quirks about the second Tecmo Bowl was how when you were on defense, you could select the nose tackle, drop one step down then hit dive, and it would blow up any passing play before it started, pretty much forcing the offense to only use shotgun plays for their pass plays. This also worked well for slow-developing run plays, such as draws and fakes.

I don't know if I still have all of the accessories. Back during my last semester of college my roomies and I hooked up one of the machines and we tried to find as many games as we could. I think I had around 50 in my attic and they found some when they went back home as well. When I was young, the games seemed so hard. I could never beat Mike Tyson but after playing Punchout 3 or 4 times I memorized the punching pattern and was able to beat him every time!!!
