1. They live here. You don't.

2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.)

3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.

4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

Remember: Dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

1. Eat less

2. Don't ask for money all the time

3. Are easier to train

4. Usually come when called.

5. Never drive your car

6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends

7. Don't smoke or drink

8. Don't worry about having to buy the latest fashions

9. Don't wear your clothes

10. Don't need a gazillion dollars for college,

AND

11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children

I love this! Dogs are the best.

This is classic! My dog is kinda grumpy at times though and likes to argue when you tell him to do something that he doesn't like to do!

Cushion stuffing all over the yard. 5 or 6 big dig holes under the fence. Torn hole in the back porch screen. Barking at nothing at 5 a.m. Phone call to come get my dog from the neighbor at 7 a.m. Scratch over my 2 year-olds eye from jumping up. Mangled back porch screen door. Bits of pigs ear all over the yard. Patches of grass that won't grow anymore. Garbage can specialty - retrieve the baby's dirty diapers! Pop a hole in the wheelbarrow tire. Track mud in the house. Slobber on the clean laundry. Run off with a new bra. Tear open the bag of charcoal.

But despite all this, still get a dog bone and a piece of cheese from the master every night.

You should watch "The Dog Whisperer" on the National Geographic channel. He'll train you how to train your dog not to do all those fun things:D As mad as my dog makes me, he was the best thing that happend to me and my wife aside from getting married, the old fart.

Now, just to clarify....the kids, or the dog?

I love my "furry animal's" too. They also don't have health insurance unfortunately.

Awesome, RM...

A funny story...

My parents (who live in Colorado) call my dogs their "grandpuppies". Just two years ago they adopted a chihuahua of their own. They call him my "little brother". They have absolutely gone crazy over this dog. Before I tell the rest of this story, you should know that I already have a younger brother, Robert, who has three children of his own.

I called my dad one afternoon and he sounded very stressed. He proceeded to tell me that my little brother had just had surgery, "to make sure he doesn't have any more kids," and that he was resting comfortably on the couch. I was a little suprised, but I remembered conversations that I had had with Robert and his wife. They love kids, but you can only afford so many in this day and age, so it began to make sense to me.

I asked what my mom (a nurse) was doing. Evidently, she was making warm compresses to put on the affected "area". Only after my dad told my "little brother" to quit licking himself did I realize this was my dog brother and not my real brother Robert. :D

That's one of the funniest dog stories I've ever heard!

I have a "little brother" named Andy who is a Lhasa Apso (I hope the spelling is correct). He is a cutie (and a little spoiled).

A pig's ear and a bra? Sounds like the makings of an interesting story, dog or no dog.
