I agree. Mears and Dale Jr are polar opposites. Plus, most of Jr's team will probably go where Jr goes.

I may be wrong but I believe Johnson and Gordon get more of the attention, quality team members because of their talent. Then you have Kyle Busch showing us that he is a force. I'm a Jr. fan and can't stand Gordon or Johnson but do you think Rick would give the better parts of his race team to Jr.? I doubt it, so he might have to deal with playing 3rd or possibly 4th fiddle at Hendrick, just depending on how Rick feels. That's why I think RCR would be a better choice, and I like Richard Childress better than I do Rick Hendrick.

Gibbs or Childress are the favorites IMO. BUT what if Toyota throws the big $$$$$ at Jr. Then what??? :walk:

It may just be me but it seems like Jr. thinks very highly of Rick Hendrick just my opinion but I don't think Jr. will let personal feelings get involved after he sees all the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ that'll be thrown his way.

I don't buy what Toyota is saying about not being interested. What if they say.....Junior start your own team and bring Budweiser with you. We'll make you our number one Toyota team with a two car operation. We'll give you 100 million to start your operation !!!! How could he turn that down? :cry:

I think he'll be driving for Childress or Gibbs and Budweiser will go with him. It's possible he'd start his own cup team, but I think that's less likely.

I am late to the discussion...I can't provide anything different that you all haven't said, but I can't wait to see what IS going to happen. The comment he made about comparing his decision to his dad's at age 32 is very interesting and really opens up the speculation.

I think he made it clear that he will not drive under his own team, and that he will be in a Chevy. I hope that reigns true. I think his best opportunity to succeed is to go to an established team with the best equipment. It's obvious this year, that Hendrick has the best equipment, but I'm not sure if there's room for Jr., JJ and Jeff on one team. I would love to see him at Gibbs or RCR. However, I will stick with him wherever he goes. Contrary to popular belief, not all Jr. fans hate Jeff Gordan. I won't be upset if he ends up at HMS.

I hate Hendrick motorsports just as much as any Earnhardt fan. But, if Jr decides to drive for NASAR's Evil Empire, so be it. I'll still be a Jr fan and will root for Gordon and the rest to lose. If I decide to go back to watching NASCAR, that is.
