May 9, 200719 yr To no ones surprise, there are a lot of stupid people in Pittsburgh... Insert Carlos Mencia's favorite line here! :jump:
May 10, 200719 yr A couple of things, non-sports people know very little about sports figures. It is hard for us sports fans to fathom but I can see where this could happen. Second, I had the same kind of thing on a police call once. We had a guy pretending to play for the Titans (and believe me he looked the part). His act was so good that he actually fooled a couple of officers (I won't say which department) but when he got to me the act was over. The funny part was the victims involved with the other officers (that were fooled) complained on those officers for giving a Pro athlete special treatment and believe it or not the guy doing the acting complained on me for treating him like crap.

Yea everything in that story sounds about right lol.
May 10, 200719 yr Guru, in your opinion do athletes get special treatment from police officers? I am not sure I can generalize about it but I would say in some cases yes. One thing is for sure, we don't sit around and pick on players like Chirs Henry's lawyer claimed recently. In my case, I hope I never come across any more pro athletes or anyone famous for that matter because it is a catch 22 for the officer. Let them go and you are giving them special treatment, take enforcement action and you are singling them out...
May 10, 200719 yr The picture they have of the guy, he's fat. Some women......... This guy is going to do some jail time. On the bright side, this will help him if he wants to pretend to be a Bungal.
