No idea if he did or didn't. What I don't understand, even if Bonds did say this, is why does Schilling comment on these topics, it doesn't concern him in the least.

That was my point, it is one thing for a bunch of people like us on a message board to hash these things out. Mostly al in fun but Schilling had no possible reason to lash out. Imo all it wil do is hurt him.

I saw on ESPN yesterday where the mouth of Boston issued an apology. I am sure they will still be playing it today. Funny how he issued the apology after T. Francona told him that it was senseless and to put A LID ON IT.

Franconas words in an interview, he said that Schilling made those statements, then would not discuss them with the media/press and left him (Francona) "holding the bag" to try and explain it away.

With our (Reds) bullpen you wouldn't have to root for that too hard. They would take care of the losses on their own.

The biggest gripe most reporters had about Schilling was that Schilling said Bonds "admitted" to using steroids, when in actuality, Bonds admitted that he "unknowingly" took steroids thinking they were flaxeed oil.

 

So basically Schilling was saying Bonds got caught red-handed and made up a lie about "unknowingly" taking the roids. Bonds knew he was caught, and he felt that admitting to "unknowingly" taking steroids would keep him in the game of baseball.

 

Bonds has taken what should be a defining moment in baseball history and made it into a circus, and that has just as much to do with his character as it does with his decision to use illegal drugs.

 

I'm glad Schilling said what just about every other player and fan in baseball thinks but is afraid to say.

First of all, I don't want to see Bonds break the record at all. But, since it is no doubt going to happen him breaking it vs. Schilling woud be fitting.

 

Both of them need to take a beginners course in "Class", imo neither knows what the meaning of the word is.
