May 7, 200719 yr **SPOILER ALERT** Venom comes back as a good guy in the comics? Who is Venom though, since Brock died? *SPOILER* I haven't read them, but my dad was telling me that he ends up helping out spiderman against Charnage....I'm not so sure Brock is dead.
May 7, 200719 yr *SPOILER* I haven't read them, but my dad was telling me that he ends up helping out spiderman against Charnage....I'm not so sure Brock is dead. *Possible Spoiler* I just read a little about that. Apparently he does help Spidey against Carnage, bc Carnage is much stronger than Spidey and a littl stronger than Venom. It looked like Brock died in the explosion though...
May 7, 200719 yr Lots of Spoilers Cassity(carnage) was Brock's cellmate in the comics. He was a serial killer BEFORE he became Carnage. Brock's symbiote reproduced and the resulting symbiote merged with Cassity. Making him stronger and more dangerous than Venom was already. It was the guilt over being responsible for the insane power that Carnage received on account of his symbiote, Venom vowed to hunt him down and stop him no matter what. They changed a number of things about the symbiote and Brock for the movie for it to fit. So you can't apply the movie to the comics. Besides in the comics the webshooters were built by Parker as opposed to being one of his powers. That would have required too much expository for the film and bogged down story telling in the first film. Also Harry Osborne became the Green Goblin as his father did, he didn't go off on his own like he did in this film. Maximum Carnage was one of the best comic series I have ever read by the way. I definitely would endorse it.
May 7, 200719 yr I heard on Matt Drudge Americans spent $148 million in loose change to open it this weekend. In addition, it opened in 101 other countries world-wide. No telling what the total take will be for this flick. Hollywood making this type of profit and we're complaining about the oil companies making too much...?

We choose to see these films for entertainment. I'm sure if everyone didn't need gas to get to work and school and what not they'd gladly sit at home and not fork out the cash for gas. I know I would.
May 7, 200719 yr My favorite part was the trailer for Harry Potter V. I loved the first two Spiderman movies. But I thought this was one of the worst movies I have ever gone to see in the theater. Just plain awful.
May 7, 200719 yr If a mod wants to add a poll to this thread, it would be great to see the disparity between enjoyed it, okay, hated it. : )
May 7, 200719 yr This is getting old, I haven't been able to read half of the stinking posts in here because of the spoilers.:irked: I guess I need to hurry up and see it.
May 8, 200719 yr Author Well I will go ahead and say that I actually enjoyed it. It was the way it needed to be. Love torn by fame, and Peter turnin to his dark side. Yes some of the scenes were not needed but that didn't take away much from the movie and storyline. Great way to end the movie though, sad really! I liked it and thought it was quite good. How do you think they will do the 4th? Will Gwen Stacey be back?
May 8, 200719 yr ^If they want to stay somewhat true to the comics, MJ may not be back in any way, shape, or form....The secretary would be back though.
May 8, 200719 yr Author I think they should stay within the comics but I doubt they will keep true to a lot of the comics. Who knows but we'll just have to wait and see.
May 8, 200719 yr ^If they want to stay somewhat true to the comics, MJ may not be back in any way, shape, or form....The secretary would be back though. :fire: :fire: Wouldn't mind that! It is the actress from 40 year old virgin, and she is smokin.
May 8, 200719 yr ^If they want to stay somewhat true to the comics, MJ may not be back in any way, shape, or form....The secretary would be back though. If they had really meant to stay true to the comics, they'd have started with Gwen Stacy and then introduced Mary Jane. Looks like they're going in reverse. One criticism I had for Spider-Man 1 is that the removal of the death of Gwen Stacy at the Goblin's hands took away much of the motivation for their last fight.
