Key word: "was".

Now, I am a journeyman and I still climb. Of course not as much, I have apprentices for that:)

I've been white water rafting on class 5 rapids on the Arkansas River the first day the water flow levels were safe to do so. Crazy :scared:

I forgot to mention rafting...I've been rafting in 4 or 5 states. I was on one of the last rafts ever use the Summersville dam put-in on the Gauley River. You put your raft directly into a class III rapid right at the overflow: 3646558_f520.jpg

I've been in on a handful of class V's too, but my favorite rafting trip was actually on the Poudre River - which you also mentioned. I actually was knocked out cold for a time when I went overboard and hit my head on a rock. That day, specifically, was a little rough, but it was awesome. :ylsuper:

Ha, good man. I don't know if I could have stuck with it.

I've rafted the Poudre as well but it was much later in the season and not as crazy. A very nice trip I just didn't feel like I was going to die at every moment, that being said a man from Indianapolis flipped a tube and drowned the same day as my run on the Poudre. The day I rafted the poudre the water was a balmy 36 degrees. I had been battling a case of Plantar fascitis for a couple of weeks and lets just say 4 hours of my foot being in that cold water cured that.

- Did 110 mph (double double nickles in the oil embargo days) on New Circle Road (3:30 a.m.)

- Whitewater rafting in WV

- Para-sailed in Myrtle Beach along with tubing on the inter-coastal with jetboats

- Been to Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam

- Rode Big Shot ride (1,000+ feet up) on top of Stratosphere in Las Vegas

- Am a certified scuba diver

- Coached a National Silver Medal Roller Hockey team (KY '94s in 2008)

- Seen two hole-in-ones (neither mine).

- Been to top of Sears Tower

- Been to most major cities in US (Albuquerque and New Orleans are still on the list)

- Seen Jimmy Buffet at various venues including 3 times 'where it all began'

- Drove from Brussels to Luxembourg through Bastogne (Battle of the Bulge) where a Sherman tank is still in the town square.

- Learned to drive in NYC

- Been to the Dayton Air Show

- Attended the Derby in the infield and in box seats. Infield was more fun.

- Attended last UL game at Cardinal Stadium. Attended 2nd to last UL basketball game at Freedom Hall.

- Been part of the largest crowd to see a college football game - 2003 Michigan-Notre Dame

quick fix

Sat on Tina Turner's lap as a child. Met Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave,Ike and Tina Turner,James Brown, Percy Sledge, Jimmy Reed, BB King and more as a youngster with my father who would play guitar with them. I've knocked back 25 white castles before. Got hand thrown out of a couple of bars before. Know the Guru personally and consider him a good friend. Got Birdsfan a autograph he wanted while I was in Walmart one day. Knocked back beers with a major country star in the shop on several ocassions (don't want to mention his name). Have several of my woodworking projects in a huge church in Lexington. Very good friend of mine is a weatherman on TV. shuttle run record is still unbroken and hanging in Danville's gym along with weightlifting records in weight room class of 82.

So this week this is what I did.

Told my nephew's girlfriend in an e-mail that she was going to be proposed to by him and didn't even realize I had done it! :irked:

Until my nephew called me last night and told me what I had done! Thank gosh he laughed at me!:lol:

Seriously BLONDE moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So how does one tell someone there is a proposal in their future and not realize that they just told someone there is a proposal in their future?

So how does one tell someone there is a proposal in their future and not realize that they just told someone there is a proposal in their future?

I am interested to know the answer to this as well.

Some other things I thought of that I have done.

-Drove the entire 275 loop one night just to see how long it would take. (I since forget the time so it was kind of useless)

-Almost got in a fight with Chad Ochocinco (back when he was still Chad Johnson) at Best Buy on a Black Friday.

-Sold some school fundraiser items to Akili Smith back when he was with the Bengals. Upon realizing who he was I accidentally said "oh yeah you're the guy that just got benched."

-Watched Kevin Huber win a hotdog eating contest when he was still in high school. (He's my good friend's cousin)

-Met and chatted with Dmitri Young when the team he owns came to Florence to play.

-Been medically discharged from the military.

---Met a few generals along the way.

-Am dating the daughter of a man that ran for US Congress.

Played the finals of a table tennis tourney was down 18-5 and came back and won 21-19.

Played in a World softball tourney batted 21 times got 19 walks.

Played in another tourney and got 13 straight hits. No HRs.

Played another and turned 5 double plays at second base in a 7 inning game.

Played a season at second base and made three errors all year.

Lead my church team in scoring 6 seasons in a row. Baskeball

Had three picks in our Blue/White practice game, Junior year.

Played a year of tennis and lost one match.

Finished second in my first year of and indoor tennis league.

Is this bragging? Not sure I wanted to do this, but its what I've done. :idunno:

Here it is....

My nephew called and asked if I could help get him a job back in Louisville because he wants to propose to the girlfriend (he travels six weeks or so at time.) I send e-mails to some of my contacts/clients. I explain who is, what he is looking to do, getting engaged, yada yada yada to these people. I get responses back from these people. He had asked that I send all responses/information via e-mail to his girlfriend. Without thinking I forward two e-mails responses to her without deleting anything. :irked::irked: Nice HUH?!!!! :idunno::lol:

That'll do it right there. I bet she was pleasantly surprised.

Played in another tourney and got 13 straight hits. No HRs.

I did start a midnight madness tournament 13-13 before sleep deprivation set in and I ended the tournament 16-23.
