Also some scuttlebutt that his shoulder may have been another issue as to why he didn't go into the draft thsi year.

People were throwing that out there about the shoulder being the reason he didn't go as soon as the surgery was known about, but I haven't seen or heard anything that would make me think that was a big factor.

 

He looked fine in practice leading up to the scrimage, outside of some underthrown deep balls- but he's never been Air McNair.

One has to believe the offense will be very good once the season starts. I think this would have to be a positive for UL since they lost a few very good defensive players from last season.

I heard that Brohm doesn't look anything near 100% healthy. I would think he is still recuperating from his shoulder surgery.

You are way, way, way, way off...he actually looked great...I expected him to have his hand taped and his off knee braced and neither were...Brohm is 100% ready...the offense was going 80% pass....and the defense knew it...for him to throw for 313 and 3.....with that...I love it.

Well he threw for over 300 with a hurt shoulder last season in the game he hurt it in...and i have first hand knowledge that his shoulder is 100% fine...he wouldn't have had contact this spring if not...kind of how Woodson didn't see contact :sssh:

I still think Brohm will get a little less publicity under Kragthorpe.

Less publicity? How so? He is a Playboy All American...will likely be a pre-season All-American...and will likely average around 300 yards a game this season... add to that the fact that Louisville has a legit shot at being 10-0 when they go to Morgantown...I would say he will be on the map all year...along with McFadden, White, Slaton, and others.

The pub he's gotten had nothing to do with Bobby Petrino and everything to do with his own talent. The story will be the same this year.

I'm of the opinion that not many questions were answered in this game. While Brohm did throw 4 int's, I didn't feel any reason to be concerned. Most of these plays were immediate reads that got jumped on quickly. In a real game I don't see Brohm playing so reckless. Also it should be reminded that he threw a lot of passes in this scrimmage.

 

Something else to keep in mind is that the offense rolled with perfection the first series. Even if turnovers are a factor for Kragthorpe's offense, scoring will not be a concern.

 

I feel the defense has really begun to develope an identity. Most of these players have had significant experiance in games, unlike some previous years where wholesale changes occurred. I feel like we can expect a similar performance to last years defense.

 

As has been mentioned before there wasn't a whole lot to gather from the running game.
