I'm kind of hoping that those of us who have participated in the "Chris Lofton caravans" to Knoxville will qualify for a deep discount for a Hawaii trip.:thumb:

 

I think Pressrow was onto something in an earlier post. I need to get attached to the team in some fashion. SID/publicist sounds good to me.

 

And to get back to someone else's question - I don't even know what a Royal is. I've never seen a mascot.

 

In all seriousness; this could very well be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for little ol' Mason County; and I hope the guys play well, represent the 10th Region and the Commonwealth of Kentucky as I know they can; but first and foremost, to have a wonderful time!

I didn't follow the schedule that closely during the Lofton era, is this the first time Mason Co has traveled this far for a tournament? Has the basketball team ever been to California, Florida for any tournaments?

Start saving! I've never been to Hawaii, I just needed a reason to go. Now I have one. The only better thing would be if it was the Mustangs playing in this. Guess I'll have to settle for the next best thing.:thumb:

Interesting that Mason County felt Marshall County was too far away to accept a Hoopfest invite ... then again, Draffenville isn't exactly Honolulu.

Looking at flights from Cincinnat to Honolulu, it's "only" around 700 dollars for one round trip ticket. So maybe some of us can share a hotel room, do hotels allow 5-10 people in one room? Maybe we shouldn't tell them. lol

 

If I can get together the money, it would be A LOT of fun. One of only 4 states in this country, I haven't been to yet.

I'll have to save my money or just might hitch a ride with Butler and Newdigate.

Am sure the AAU coaches at Mason County will be raffling off tickets for a chance to win a trip to Hawaii to see this tourney or to plain just go to Hawaii for the ones not interested in basketball. They made tons of money raffling tickets to see Lofton in Rupp from behind the bench(I believe), but didn't he miss that game.

Pretty sure there will be package deals,along with raffles for this trip as some of the Mason County coaches have travel agency ties.:thumb:

Heres some info on the trip.Heres a dream vacation Royal fans to go with the team my calculations show it will cost you around 2000-2500 for two to make this trip and enjoy it.Which really isnt bad.If you read on theres some info on next years schedule in there also and it seems like it will be the toughest in school history by far.:thumb: I cant wait for basketball season now.:ylsuper:
