April 11, 200719 yr It amazes me how so many people talk about Tubby's "decent" record at UK. 26.3 wins a year is an unbelieveable feat, even if you don't get a national championship. Again, just another example of the unrealistic expectations of UK fans. As for Tubby leaving UK high and dry, give me a break. He spent 10 years in the pressure cooker known as UK basketball - besides Rupp, he lasted as long as any UK coach and did so with class. In today's current sports environment, I don't think we'll ever see anyone stay at UK for more than 10 years. At UK, every coach is going to eventually wear out his welcome, no matter what his overall record.

April 12, 200719 yr Tubby belongs up ther if Pitino is up there. The one key factor to me is at least Tubby walked away when he realized he couldn't get the job done , head held high and he and his wife never bashed UK for the off court discord the fans were giving out. He walked away with class. Pitino on the other hand not only came back to UK's arch rival he also (according to reports) let it be publicly known that he advised Billy D. not to take the UK job. Now who has more respect for the program Tubby or Pitino? If I had my choice I'd say take down Pitino and put up Tubby or if Pitino is going to be left up, then he done no more to help the program than Tubby did so put Tubby up or don't put either of them up.
