April 11, 200719 yr Roy Williams left for his dream job and did not leave his team in horrible shape for Bill Self to pick up the pieces. I honestly hope Minnesotta isn't Tubby's dream job. Williams had much respect for the Kansas program, and only left because UNC was his Alma and his dream. The way Tubby turned his back on Kentucky (although I am personally glad, and think he done us a favor) is far different than what Williams did to Kansas. Apples and Oranges. Say what you want, but in no way do I find anything wrong with my posts. Tubby did turn his back by leving the program in shambles and not honoring his contract. Mitch wanted him back next year and he still left. I could see it if it was a step up the coaching ladder, but he almost fell off. So he did turn his back because he couldn't handle the pressure so he turned and ran. Theres no room for that among the greats. As for Pitino, if the Kentucky job was open after he left Boston I'm sure he would of took it. He loves the state of Kentucky because of UK, so of course he would take the vacant Louisville job. Lets not forget the UK/UL rivalry really did'nt get that rekindled untill Pitino became the lead Cardinal. Like I said, Pitino has said leaving Kentucky was the biggest mistake of his life, so yes it does still seem like he bleeds blue.
