The Rupp Arena rafters are filled with names of hearts who have and still bleed blue, and Tubby is certainly not one of those. Enough said. So does Roy Williams not deserve to be honored at Kansas? He had tons of success there, but left for UNC. Is Rick Pitino in the rafters at Rupp? (Asking, I have no clue)
April 11, 200719 yr Well many people, honestly now, claim he won 3....Obviously the 96' title, they give him credit for the 98' title because we all know that team was so talented, and they even claim that he technically won the 97' title because we all know that if Allen Edwards, or Derek Anderson play they easily win that one.... No lie, I've actually had to listen to this arguement from a sober, semi-intelligent human being....Really makes you wonder, don't it? :lol: :lol: :lol:

April 11, 200719 yr Besides 1998 did he ever accomplish anything with those number one seeds? Sure its not all about winning nat'l championships...okay in some peoples eyes it is. Sure, SEC Championships are nice and a great accomplishment especially to go undefeated but it dont do much good if you lose in the second round of the tourney. Yes, I know that he was a very charitable man and that is good but that don't help UK win. They lost in the Elite 8 that year.

(Asking, I have no clue) Roy Williams left for his dream job and did not leave his team in horrible shape for Bill Self to pick up the pieces. I honestly hope Minnesotta isn't Tubby's dream job. Williams had much respect for the Kansas program, and only left because UNC was his Alma and his dream. The way Tubby turned his back on Kentucky (although I am personally glad, and think he done us a favor) is far different than what Williams did to Kansas. Apples and Oranges.

April 11, 200719 yr Does ole Rick still bleed blue? There is no way you can "bleed blue" and coach at Louisville. He still says leaving Kentucky was his biggest mistake and his heart is still in Lexington. Sounds like to me he does, his love for the state of Kentucky is what brought him to Louisville. By going to Minnesotta (which is far different than Rick going NBA) it doesn't sound like Tubby thinks he was making a mistake, more like just trying to dodge a bullet. Why reward someone who doesn't care and cannot handle the pressure that comes with being the basketball coach at Kentucky?
