April 10, 200719 yr Jai will be at Kentucky. No question about it. Didn't you say the same thing about Billy D to UK?
April 11, 200719 yr Interesting report on Rivals earlier today, here's what some of the article mentioned: "There have been some significant developments in the recruitment of four-star prospect Jai Lucas in recent days. A couple schools are making a serious push to land the 5-foot-10, 160-pound point guard from Bellaire (Texas) High School in what could be developing into a head-to-head showdown between SEC rivals. Coach Billy Donovan stayed at Florida and point guard Taurean Green declared for the draft, so Florida immediately became a significant player in the Lucas recruitment. Kentucky, whom Lucas has had in his top four for the longest time, hired Coach Billy Gillispie, and the former Texas A&M coach has been in Houston making a stretch run sales pitch to Lucas. "Billy has been down here the last couple days working on Jai," Lucas' father John Lucas told Rivals.com. "It went really well. They are going to give the ball to Jai from day one, and Billy said he was going to get some players." This Saturday Lucas will travel to Gainesville, Fla., for his final official visit to meet with the Florida staff and tour the campus. What are the chances Billy G brings both to Lex? http://kentucky.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=662140 I just don't see Lucas starting at Florida next year, but I guess all that matters is if Lucas believes him or not.
April 11, 200719 yr If im Billy G. I try my best to get across to him before he goes to gainesville, if he goes, i see him signing there.

April 11, 200719 yr ^I hope it rains and thunderstorms in gainesville... Step it up and have a small hurricane hit the state.
April 11, 200719 yr Won't Walter Hodge play point for the Gators next season? Hodge will probably start at the point...............that is unless Green changes his mind and returns.
April 11, 200719 yr I know UK really doesn't have a TRUE PG, but, with Jasper, Bradley, Porter, Meeks and Crawford, this is there deepest position, probably much more so than Florida, so, playing time may be relatively the same..To me, UK will need Crawford, Meeks and Bradley on the floor next year and playing a 4 guard system is unlikely....

Only Jasper, Bradley and Ocasionally Porter play the PG spot. Meeks and Crawford would have no effect on the position.
April 11, 200719 yr Only Jasper, Bradley and Ocasionally Porter play the PG spot. Meeks and Crawford would have no effect on the position. The point is, UK needs Meeks, Bradley and Crawford on the floor a majority of the time and they cant all 3 play the 2 guard slot, meaning 1 will man the point, probably Bradley, but, late in the year you saw Meeks and Crawford both playing the point at certain times and I can't see UK playing 4 guards at one time, just won't happen, so, it is relevent...
