April 11, 200719 yr Again, good for Roger Goodell, he is doing a good job as far as I'm concerned. :thumb: Well, could be better.............they could have been banned for life.
April 11, 200719 yr :thumb: Well, could be better.............they could have been banned for life. Pacman I can see banning for life, but not Henry. Unlike PAcman Henry has actually gotten somewhat better. You have a legitimate point, but I don't think banning him for life is the solution over a traffic violation.
April 11, 200719 yr I'm surprised it wasn't a longer suspension. It is a fair punishmnt though IMO...
April 11, 200719 yr I think this is the make or break point with Henry in his NFL career. If he can get through this have a good second half of the year I think he will be ok. If he doesn't make it and get suspended again or breaks one of the rules they have set for him I think his NFL career might be over.
April 11, 200719 yr Henry wasn't involved in a triple shooting murder though. I'm not taking up for the guy, he got what he deserved, he needs to learn. But suspending Henry for the whole season wouldn't be the right punishment.

April 11, 200719 yr How many times has Henry been in trouble with the law? A full year suspension wouldn't have surprised me... Apparently, and I'm paraphrasing here, but the fact that PacMan's antics got someone harmed (read: shot) was the big factor in the double penalty.

You have a legitimate point, but I don't think banning him for life is the solution over a traffic violation. The only thing is although Pacman has had more incidents, he has yet to be convicted of anything. Henry has been more than once, if Pacman deserves a season long or career long ban then Henry certainly does too. Don't let your feelings for the Bengals color your view.

See post #38, the difference was the fact that PacMan's antics had resulted in someone else getting shot. The reason for the difference was addressed.
April 11, 200719 yr I don't see why he can do everything else except practice... if he's there I at least think he should be able to practice and improve himself and others... not that he would be working with the first team anyways...
April 11, 200719 yr They both got what they deserved and earned by acting like idiots. They have incredible talents and they are throwing it all away by being thugs. Hopefully this will be a wake up call not only to them but the rest of the players in the NFL who are acting up and wasting their careers.

You have your opinion and I respect that. But Henry's trouble came out of having "stupid fun", not getting someone else hurt. Henry's punishment was definetly what needed to be done. But saying Henry should be banned for life or even a year would just be a ridiculous punishment for his actions. But once again, I respect your point of view and have nothing against it. I just see his and Pacman's actions on total different levels of eachother.

I really don't think either of them should be banned for life, YET. I think their punishments were just and now the ball is in their court. They can straighten up and fly right or its hello Arena League.
